Every year there are more and more cycling events happening across Ontario. Below you'll find information on a variety of recreational, touring and race events for 2020. We will continue to add cycling events throughout the year as the event dates are published.

  • JANUARY

    Cannondale Fat Bike Series Race 1 - Albion Fat Bike Festival - On Saturday, January 11, 2020, gather for this new year ride suitable for all levels. Bike snow trails at Albion Hills Conservation Area, 20km or 10km poker race, demos, hot chili and bonfire.

    Fat & Frosty Winter FatBike Series - TBD, kick off the first of three fat bike events and ride on the Pembroke & Area Cross Country Skiing Club (PAXC) in the Ottawa Valley to maximize rider awareness of the many different locals for enjoying the outdoors on a fatbike.

    UCI Track Cycling World Cup -  The UCI Track Cycling World Cup is a key event within the Track Cycling calendar. The multi race tournament held over a track cycling season is divided into several rounds spread over different countries. For the 2020 season the race will return to the Milton Velodrome, the only class 1 indoor velodrome in Canada. Tickets for this spectacular race can be ordered HERE

  • FEBRUARY

    Cannondale Fat Bike Series - Race 2 - On February 1, 2020, head to Georgian Nordic Outdoor Activity Central for the second race of Substance Projects Fat Bike Series. The Race features a course that will be a mix of fast flowing XC Ski trails and fun groomed out single track.

    Kingston Snophy - TBD, ride in one of the 45NRTH Ontario Fat Bike Series in Kingston, Ontario.

    Coldest Day of the Year Ride - On February 1, 2020, join Cycle Toronto for their annual Coldest Day of the Year Ride! Starting off at 11:30 am at Alexander the Great Parkette, Logan & Danforth for a short, family friendly ride along the best cycling routes Toronto has to offer. After the ride, warm up at a nearby establishment. Both the start and end points are subway accessible.

    Wendigo Ultra - On February 8, fatbike 50km, 100km or 150km across Whitewater Township in the Ottawa Valley and into Quebec. Starting and finishing at the Whitewater Brewery Lakeside location.

    Fat & Frosty Winter FatBike Series - On February 22, 2020, kick off the 2nd of three fat bike events riding on the BORCA trails, based out of the Whitewater Brewing Co in the Ottawa Valley to maximize rider awareness of the many different locals for enjoying the outdoors on a fatbike. Ironwood Hills Trails, 295 Ferguson Road, 10 minutes NE of Renfrew.

    Toronto Bicycle Show LogoToronto Bicycle Show and E-Bike Show - 2020 - Don`t miss the 34th Annual Toronto Bicycle Show on March 6-8 for the first time in a new location at the International Centre, Mississauga. Join us at the largest bicycle consumer show in the world to shop from a fantastic range of bike manufacturers and retailers. Plan your next cycling trip, sign up for an event or tour in 2020 by visiting dozens of great destination or event booths! Stop by the Ontario Cycle Tourism Information Centre for the latest cycling information, events and maps from across the province. Looking at future trends, this year there will also be a large number of e-bike exhibitors, showcasing the latest technology and products in this fast-growing field of cycling. 

    45NRTH Ontario Fat Bike Series - Final Race  - On March 1st, 2020 head out to Hardwood Ski & Bikes for the final event in the Cannondale Fat Bike Series from Substance Projects. The course is approximately 15k long. Long course will be 2 laps, short course will be 1 laps. Enjoy a wonderful day out riding bikes in the winter!

    Fat & Frosty Winter FatBike Series - On March 7, 2020, ride the final fat bike events hosted at the BORCA trails, based out of the Whitewater Brewing Co Riverside location in the Ottawa Valley. These events maximize rider awareness of the many different locals for enjoying the outdoors on a fatbike. PArking available on site.

  • APRIL

    Paris_to_Ancaster

    Paris to Ancaster Bicycle Race – Canada’s spring cycling classic, features 70, 40 & 20 km course options with different start locations and the same finish line in Ancaster. Each course has a mix of gravel roads, farm lanes and trails. This popular event takes place on April 26, 2020 and now includes a fundraising option to support research at St. Joseph’s Helthcare Hamilton.

    Great Ride N Stride Burlington – Great Ride 'n' Stride is a non-competitive, pledge-based fundraising event. There are several locations across Ontario this event takes place, including Blandford Blenheim, Burlington, Norwich, Thamesford, Tillsonburg and Woolwich. Participants can choose to ride their bikes along a beautiful trails and quiet roads on April, TBD in these communities.

    Kin Vineyards Kermesse - On April 4, 2020 head out to West Carletonin the western rural area of Ottawa to ride the Kin Vineyards Kermesse. This is the kick off event of the 2020 Gravel Cup Canada Series. The series consists of 7 events each featuring a challenge long course and a sport shorter course. The first event features a 25km loop on both maintained gravel and paved roads.

    Slush Fest Fat Bike Festival - On April 12, 2020 head to Sir Sam's Ski/Ride for the Slush Fest Fat Bike Festival. For one day, Sir Sam's Ski turns into a fatbike playground. Ride head-to-head down our Cross Track. Challenge a friend to the dual slalom course. Pick a line on one of the technical singletrack descents.

    Kanata-Nepean Bicycle Club Open House - On April 20, come and meet the club executive, learn about the club's operation and cycling tours. Returning members can pass on their experiences. New members and friends are very welcome. There may be a few door prizes.

  • MAY

    Friday Night Lights - Starting in May, dates TBD don't miss this amazing event. The concept of the ride is quite simple. Imagine hundreds of colourfully lit bicycles rolling by, bells clacking, as they partake in a pub crawl on two wheels. The pack takes up the entire street, sometimes stretching several city blocks at a time.

    Mike Ride – TBD, join the 10th Annual 'Mike Ride', a fun family ride starting and ending at Collective Arts Brewing in Hamilton. Six routes ranging from 5km to 75km provide something for every ability. In addition to increasing awareness of all aspects of cycling through vendors and displays promoting the Art and Culture of Cycling, the funds raised purchase bikes, helmets, bells and locks for Hamilton inner city students and their families, and provide programming to encourage students to ride to school daily. ‘Ride so a child can ride'

    The Weekender - On May 2nd to 3rd head out to Barrie for a brand new cycling event. The looped group ride takes participants from Barrie to Midland and back. Riders can choose from distances between 181km and 349km. Breakfast, dinner and refuelling stops are included. Optional shuttle bus service from Toronto, luggage transfer and accommodation can be booked extra.

    CN Cycle for CheoCN Cycle for CHEO – On Sunday May 3rd, 2020, this charity event encourages everyone to cycle, walk, and roll, in support of children with cancer at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. Events take place at the Canadian War Museum, in Ottawa, and the adjacent grounds at LeBreton Flats. The cycle routes are non-competitive, offering a range of distances (15 km, 35 km & 70 km bike routes and a 2km and 5 km walk), all starting and ending at LeBreton Flats.

    Hell of the North – On Sunday May 10, 2020 ride in the 12th annual 'Hell of the North'! Starting and ending at the Ballantrae Community Center. The epic spring classic with 90 kilometers of the most amazing dirt and off road sections to make this truly one of the hardest events of the year!

    Clarence Rockland Classic: Ride with Rendall - TBD, join the cycling club Ride with Rendall for the 11th annual Clarence-Rockland Classic with its 85km route a mix of gravel and paved roads.

    Ride for the Rouge - TBD, ride in the 27th annual Ride for the Rouge event, with all money raised through your donations and collected pledges will ensure the continued operation of the Rouge Valley Conservation Centre.

    Epic 8 Hour - On May 9th, 2020 - Ride this spring mountain bike relay at Mansfield Outdoor Centre. Single track and double track 10km course, with overnight camping onsite and lots of fun team activities. Also featuring non competitive kids event.

    BORCA Spring Chicken Enduro - On Saturday, May 9th, 2020 head to Beachburg in the Ottawa valley to ride the BORCA Spring Chicken. The Mountainbike event features 28km and 60km races in an emerging mountain bike destination next to the Ottawa River in Renfew County. 

    The Mother Ride - Saturday, May 9, 2020, join cyclists of all levels in Kingston and experience the rolling terrain and charming towns of Frontenac and Lennox & Addington Counties. Cyclists can choose between 3 routes: 25km, 50km, 100km. Start your riding season early, help raise funds for Interval House, and make your mother proud! Registration opens Jan.31,2020

    Gravel Road & Beer Sampling Clinic-Turas Mor Pre-Ride. (co-ed) -  On Saturday, May 9th, 2020, sign up for a clinic that will prepare you for everything gravel riding may throw at you. From the different types of gravel roads, the proper techniques to ride loose climbs, potholes and bumpy descents, how to effectively hold lines and following wheels on gravel. The event takes place in Creemore, ON.

    Spring on the Trail - SOTT - TBD, join this free event, raising funds for the Guelph to Goderich Rail Trail. More information on website.

    Ride of Silence - On Wednesday May 20th, 2020, join cyclists in Niagara in a silent slow-paced ride (max. 12 mph/20 kph) in honour of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. The ride is a slow, procession style, approximately 10 km ride, with all cyclists following the rules of the road. The event takes place every year on the third Wednesday in May starting at 7:00pm.

    NOKIA Sunday Bikedays – From the end of May to the beginning of September, every Sunday morning, over 50km of roads in the heart of Ottawa and nearby Gatineau Park are closed to motor vehicles and open for cyclists, in-line skaters, runners and pedestrians.

    The Canadian Tandem Rally – On May 22nd to 25th, 2020, sign up for this amazing multi-day event in Owen Sound and share good times with like-minded tandem enthusiasts while sharing wonderful food together.

    Creemore Springs Turas Mór – On May 23rd, 2020, Creemore Springs Turas Mór offers up one challenging route – a 61km journey taking you thru the scenic, rolling hills and the beautiful countryside of Clearview Township. The ride can be considered challenging with gravel roads and a few steep climbs.

    7 days in May

    7 Days in May - 7 Days In May is designed for riders of all abilities. There are two aspects to 7 Days In May: a single day riding event featuring rides of 25KM, 50KM, 75KM and 160KM; and a 7 day event where we ride around Lake Ontario. This year, 7 Days In May will be held from Saturday, May 23rd, to Friday May 29th, 2020.

    Jack Ride - On Saturday May 23rd, join cyclists in Caledon of all abilities to ride the 8th Annual Ride for Jack event. Whether cyclists decide to ride 25, 50, 100 or 125km, each program raises funds for Youth Mental Health.

    Tour Du Canada Century Ride - On May 23rd-24th, participate in this century ride weekend event with day or full-weekend options. Ride either the metric or full century ride at either 100 km or 160km options.

    Food Cycle Ride - May 31st, 2020, ride because you care at the 10th Food Cycle Ride, an annual family-oriented event with routes on road or trail. Choose to ride 40 or 75km on rolling country roads, or 20 or 40km on the scenic Elora Cataract Trailway. The Ride is not a race, but competitive riders and riders of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Lunch is provided. All proceeds go to the Centre Wellington Food Bank.

    Kitchener Bike Fest - TBD, head out to Kitchener for the 7th BikeFest! Enjoy a fun community event celebrating the power of the bicycle in positively transforming our health, environment and community. The event has brought over 4,500 residents into Downtown Kitchener and activities such as free bike-tune ups, live music and cycling skills workshops were offered.

    Spin the LakesSpin The Lakes - May 23-24, 2020. Take a tour around Ontario’s beautiful Muskoka region. The tour takes you around several of the Muskoka lakes along routes with breath taking views and spectacular rock cuts. Route lengths include 20, 50, 110, and 170km.

    Bike-A-Thon Plus - Cornwall - TBD, enjoy a day of fun riding in and around Cornwall. This fundraising event has a variety of routing options for cyclists. R3G3 Renfrew Rough Rider Griffith Gravel Grinder - On May 23, 2020 head out to Griffith for some proper gravel grinding. Combining a challenging route with some scenic views, this ride will take you out through the county of Renfrew celebrating the gravel community in the Ottawa Valley. 

    Jim Walsh Bike Ride for Kids with Cancer – TBD, ride the Jim Walsh Bike Ride for Kids, which starts & ends at Knights of Columbus Hall, 12 Catharine Avenue in Brantford. A 9am start kicks off riding on 80km on Brantford’s gorgeous rail trail. $25 per rider (under 13 years ride free) $75 per family (up to 4)

    Tour of Kincardine – On May 24, 2020, participate in 22km cross classic. The race route trails are part of the Kincardine Trails system – an entirely intra-town system with a variety of challenging terrain for a cyclist. The racecourse is approximately 22.5km long. The terrain roughly breaks down to 8.8km of hard surfaces, 9.7km of single track, and 4km of paved roads.

    Villa Charities GIRO – On Sunday, May 24, 2020, experience the premier cycling event of the year at the 14th Annual Giro cycling fundraiser in Woodbridge. Celebrate the exhilarating finale of the Giro d'Italia, ride the family-friendly 4km and 25km routes or the scenic and challenging 60km and 100km routes, enjoy rest stops with gourmet food and beverage and support a great cause!

    NewRoads LakeRide - On May 24, join the 5th Annual NewRoads LakeRide. The ride is in York Region, beginning in Newmarket and on to the beautiful southern shores of Lake Simcoe and back. The ride feature's three distances including a 39km, 60km and 100km.

    Rotary Lilac Ride - Sunday, May 24, 2020, Join the 7th Annual Picton Rotary Lilac Ride supporting Reaching For Rainbows. Our Annual event features 3 marked courses (27, 50 & 100km) and will take riders on some of Prince Edward County's most beautiful Lilac lined roads. All routes start and finish at Picton, Ontario's Prince Edward Community Centre Rotary Hall. Refreshments will be available at all route checkpoints and a post ride BBQ will be provided.     Women's 4 Hour MTB Relay - On May 30th, 2020, join the Women's 4 Hour MTB Relay. The Women`s 4 Hour takes place over a 4 hour time frame on two 6 km loop courses which start and finish at the same location. The object is not to finish first, but to complete the greatest number of laps before the end of the event. The Women`s 4 Hour Mountain Bike Relay is all about the camaraderie, sportsmanship and the enjoyment of riding with friends.

    Journey for Janice - TBD9, Join the 5th annual Journey for Janice.  Mountain Bike Extravaganza Weekend - May 30-31, 2020, head to Sudbury for a 2 day guided Crawl thru the best single tracks in Sudbury and a great day of testing the latest demo bikes on the Naughton Trails.

    MICA Manitoulin Passage Ride - On June 6-7, head to Manitoulin Island for the 10th Annual Manitoulin Passage Ride. Enjoy a Free Ferry Crossing on this 2 day fully supported ride. Saturday night supper and dance, Sunday lunch with music, roadside snacks and insurance all included. 

    The Ingersoll Big Cheese Cycling Challenge - TBD, sign up for this fun and fantastic ride in Oxford County, which features features a 160km, 90km, or 45km ride designed for advanced and confident road cyclists. The route is sanctioned Tourism Oxford and is known as Oxford County North. The ride begins at the Centennial Park 290 Harris St. in Ingersoll.

    Diva Day Road Cycling Clinic (Women Only) - Saturday, June 6, 2020, sign up for this one day fully supported road cycling clinic includes guided scenic routes, mini mechanic seminar, gear selection, climbing, descending and group riding drills, lunch,snacks, goodie bag & Spa pass (optional). Approx mileage 50-60km.

    Ride for Health – June 7, 2020, head out to Copper Creek Golf Club for a day of camaraderie, determination and inspiration. Ride for Health, presented by CIBC, is an exclusive 25/60/100 kilometre ride through picturesque York Region. Indulge in a gourmet breakfast, premier rest stations and a post-event celebration, all in support of Mackenzie Health.

    Manulife Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart – Ride on Sunday June 7, 2020 in the Manulife Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart and celebrate over 30 years with us! Experience the thrill of riding on a traffic-free Gardiner and DVP! Select the distance that is right for you - 25km, 50km or 75km. Feel good while you do good by supporting life-saving research and helping Canadians lead healthy lives.

    West Nipissing Cycle for Charity - Bike for Kids on TBD, and make a difference with funds providing bikes for children in need. Enjoying 1 of 3 routes from Sturgeon Falls, following a portion of the Voyageur Route, currently under development.   

    Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour - On June 13-14, 2020 join the 48th Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour. this weekend long event offers 4 different tour routes, between Ottawa, Perth, Kingston and back. 2,000 cyclists participate in this popular tour run by volunteers and organized by the Ottawa Bicycle Club since 1972.

    Enbridge Ride to Conquer Cancer – This popular annual fundraising ride brings cyclists through Toronto, Hamilton and Niagara Falls on a 200+ km route over 2 days and draws over 4,000 cyclists from across Ontario & North America. New route options have been added. Fully-supported tour rolls June 13-14, 2020.

    Tour de Grand 2017Tour de Grand - On June 14, 2020, ride this award winning, recreational cycling event, suitable for cyclists of all ages. In celebration of its XXst anniversary, has added two new routes to its existing nine. The 50 and 76 km gravel and trail routes will appeal to gravel and cross riders. Snacks and lunch included; along with the first 1900 riders receiving event t-shirts. 

    Outspokin Gravel Growler TBD, come ride 40, 80 or 160km of great gravel roads near Ilderton Ontario. In support of the Fowler Kennedy Clinic this ride will challenge riders of all skill levels. After your ride, enjoy a variety of food trucks and a beer garden courtesy of Muskoka Brewery. Free beer for all registrants!

    The Blue Mountains Gran Fondo – Previously known as the Grey County Road Race, on TBD, those more competitive riders can sign up for newly rebranded Blue Mountain Gran Fondo, 

    Tour de Mississippi Mills - TBD, sign up for the Tour de Mississippi Mills, a signature event of Mississippi Mills Bicycle Month. It’s all about fun and participation for all ages and riding abilities — with routes ranging from 30, 60, 80 or 100 kilometres (km).

The pack take up the entire street, sometimes stretching several city blocks at a time.

    Moveathon Ride - On June 14, 2020, ride either 50 or 100km route options on a one day charity ride previously the Zareinu Moveathon. Mental Health in Motion - On June 14th, sign up for the 8th Annual Greater Toronto RIDE, RUN, OR WALK FOR MENTAL HEALTH in Newmarket, Ontario. Route options include 5, 20, 60 and 100km. Ride with the pros or cycle as a family, with routes designed for riders of all ages and abilities. This is an all-inclusive, accessible, family friendly cycling event.

    VÉLOCITY 2.0 - TBD, join a great day out for the whole family in Caledon. Sign up for a 10k family ride, and 25km, 60km, or 100km rides for more experienced cyclists. Vélocity offers something for riders of all abilities with prizes being awarded for all routes. Each ride will wind you through the prestigious trails of the Caledon bike route, which offer stunning views of our rolling countryside and beautiful forests.

    Huron County 'Better Together" Ride to End Hunger - TBD, ride in the XXth "Better Together Ride to End Hunger". The event features 3 routes - 10km; 50km and 100km. In addition to the 3 routes, there will be a "Slow Roll" Ride in a local village at 4km. All routes will start and end at the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre at the corner of Crediton Road and Hwy. #4. The ride is followed by a BBQ lunch.

    Humber Ride4RealFood  - TBD, sign up for this 35km recreational ride in downtown Toronto. This ride helps raise awareness and educate registered guests and passersby on food security, urban agriculture, the Co-op Cred program and the South Parkdale Housing crisis. Ride Don't Hide - On Sunday, June 14th and Tuesday June 30th, 2020, communities across Canada will cycle together to raise funds for mental health. The Canadian Mental Health Association’s annual Ride Don’t Hide brings Canadians of all ages and from all walks of life together to help break the stigma and raise funds for mental health. This year there'll be over 12,000 participating in 25 community rides coast to coast (10 communities in Ontario) to help raise over $2 million for mental health initiatives.

    Alvar Treasure Rides - June 15-19 join this all-inclusive cycling vacation on beautiful Manitoulin Island. 5 day riding, 4 nights stay with multiple km routes available each day. Details www.manitoulincycling.com

    Bike for Tykes - TBD, joing Bike for Tykes a one day spinning relay that raises funds to support programs that improve the lives of children.

    WHEELS - Sunday, June 21st. Join the 10th annual ride with Wheels benefitting The Darling Home for Kids. Choose the 25km, 50km or 100km and enjoy the stunning views of the Niagara Escarpment in support of medically complex children and their families.

    Bike The Creek - On June 27, 2020 ride the 7th annual Bike the Creek ride. Choose from 4 routes ranging from 11 to 40 km. Enjoy pavilions enroute where participants can learn about the natural and cultural heritage of the area. Participants have an opportunity to win prizes and will enjoy a complimentary lunch courtesy of the Region of Peel. Medics for Mental Health Ride - On June 27, 2020, head to Woodstock, ON for a ride through picturesque Oxford County to raise awareness and funds to support mental health wellness among First Responders. All riders welcome. 14km Family Fun Ride, or a 50km or 100km route available.

    Reggie Ramble - On June 27, 2020, head to Warkworth in the Trent Hills for some serious gravel grinding. The new event features 3 different courses of 65km, 130km and 200km of fantastic off-road gravel roads on challenging and fun terrain.

    The Ice Cream Ride - TBD join this family-friendly, ice cream fueled cycling event in Hamilton with 6km (car-free) and 29km routes.

    Cycle for Sight – Known as the perfect one-day ride because of the exceptionally scenic routes and delicious food, this annual full-experience event is designed for both experienced and novice cyclists. Cycle for Sight is a signature fundraiser for the Foundation Fighting Blindness. Two Ontario events: Toronto, Ontario on June 20, and Ottawa, Ontario on August 16.

    2020 Carbon Cycle - On TBD, sign up for the 2020 Carbon Cycle Fundraiser Ride! This year's route is new and will incorporate approximately 95% along beautiful rail trails from west Hamilton, past Brantford to Waterford. Overnight camping destination at the Waterford North Conservation Area. The ride is approximately 70km each way. Environment Hamilton will provide route guides, luggage and gear transport, bike repair support, water stops, two meals and overnight camping. Most of the ride is on bike trails with this new route.

    Rael's Ride - June 28, 2020, head to the North Thornhill Community Centre for Rael's Ride, a 10km/25km/60km charity ride in support of Brain Cancer Research at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Tickets include fully supported and insured ride, hot lunch entertainment and silent auction. New this year: A chaperoned 10 km ride for novice cyclists! 

    Hairshirt Classic Double Century - Sunday, June 28th, 2020, punish yourself on this free ride hosted by the Toronto Bicycling Network. Ride 322km from Mississauga to Niagara and back for a little self-inflicted fun.

    Tour de Guelph - Join the 7th Annual Tour de Guelph, a community bicycling event for all ages and abilities. This year choose from eight routes and nine distances: a 5/10km loop through The Arboretum, a 25, 50, 75, 100 or 160km and a 40km and 70km multi-surface routes - there is a distance for everyone!

    24 Hours24 Hours of Summer Solstice - Experience the summer solstice on two wheels at this June 20th-21st, 2020 mountain bike festival and relay race. The newly improved 17 km loop of single and double track trails is suitable for riders of most ages and abilities. Ride solo, tag team or with 4-10 people. A no night option is also available.

    Kinburn Kermesse – TBD Starting in July, held bi-weekly, these lap events total either 45 or 60km in Ottawa and incorporate both paved and gravel surfaces. Gravel or cyclo-cross bikes are recommended but not required. This most certainly can be done on a road bike.

    Sea Otter Canada – On July 3-5, 2020 head to Blue Mountain for the 2nd annual edition of Sea Otter Canada. The 3 day festival offers something for everyone to enjoy: 100+ cycling brands, bike demos, clinics, kids zone, entertainment, beer and food vendors. Cycling events include: Dirt ‘Crit’, Epic Tour Gran Fondo, Scarecrow Gravel Ride, XC-3 Hour, Downhill Triple Crown, Dual Slalom and the Norco Canadian Enduro Series.

A relaxing Saturday night social with us and your fellow PwC MS Bike cyclists will get you excited for your Sunday bike tour.     Pedaling for Parkinson’s - PEC - TBD, sign up for Pedaling for Parkinson’s, a fundraising ride with the emphasis on fun, hosted in Prince Edward County in 2020. This all abilities ride offers the opportunity to ride one, two or three days with routes ranging from 40-120km. All rider fundraising supports the Pedaling for Parkinson’s Research Grant through Parkinson Canada.

    Fretori Gravel Ride - On July 12, 2020, participate in the Fretori Gravel Ride in Warsaw ON. Riders will be able to choose from three courses: 170km, 125km & 100km. The 170km is the the most challenging of the three with 1500m of elevation and two rest stops.

    GranFondo Ottawa - Reggio Capitale - Get the European-inspired "Big Ride" experience in the Ottawa Valley with fiestas before, during, and after the ride on July 18, 2020. Relaxed non-competitive options include 65 and 100 km or opt for the 180 or 235 km Gran and Supr Fondos with timed sections. All rides are fully supported.

    Butter Tart 700 - On Sunday July 12, 2020, ​set off on a 700-ish kilometre bikepacking route traversing some of the most interesting and less trodden terrain in southwestern Ontario. Yes, Ontario has some terrific terrain begging for a fatter tire adventure.

    Ralph's Race Against Cancer - On TBD, join a family friendly trail ride in Peterborough. The bike race will be along Lakefield Trail will be followed by a BBQ at the Lock. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards Esophageal Cancer Research.

    Canadian Mountain Bike Championships/Ontario Cup XC - On July 11-12 2020, be part of Canada’s pinnacle mountain bike event of the year, in our own backyard! There are events for all ages and abilities, as well as the chance to watch Canada’s best riders in action as they vie for the Canadian Champion titles.

    Le Tour de Norfolk - Saturday, July 19, 2020 explore picturesque back roads and quaint villages as you cycle the quiet, paved roads of Norfolk County, located on the north shore of Lake Erie. Choose from 40, 75, 100 and 160 km routes with rest stops every 20-25 km, complete with snacks and refreshments. Enjoy a delicious spaghetti lunch and ice cream at the end of the ride and cool off in the outdoor pool. Road support is provided and routes are clearly marked. All rides start and end in Delhi.

    Ionic Mountain Bike Tour - Sudbury Fitness Challenge - On Sunday, July 19th, 2020, head out to Naughton Trail Centre in Sudbury for an amazing mountain bike event. Bring out your mountain bike and join this annual event, supporting family, fun, and fitness at a recreational level for people of all ages and skill levels (from newbie to experienced). The goal of the race is to encourage physical fitness and healthy living in the spirit of competition! Distances from 350m to 20 km.

    Max's Big Climb - TBD, challenge yourself and climb the iconic Sydenham Hill in Dundas, Ontario. Compete in an individual time trial and for the title of 'King' and 'Queen of the Mountain'. In addition, this year we will be adding an exciting hour-long team event - the 'Horse Kill Relay'.

    Kitchener Twilight Grand Prix Criterium - TBD, this XXth Annual Cycling Canada sanctioned Criterium will have race categories from Beginner level to Elite Pro Men’s and Female races raced in the downtown area of Kitchener, Ontario part of the “July Speed Weekend” of Criterium racing in Waterloo Region. Not racing? GO to KW and enjoy the 2 days of exciting high speed bike racing on the 1.1 km race course in the downtown cores of Kitchener and Cambridge.

    Summer Epic 8 Hour MTB Relay - On July 25 2020, enjoy the Epic 8 Hour Mountain Bike Relay, an event all about the camaraderie, sportsmanship and the gritty, hard-core enjoyment of riding with friends. The Epic 8 Hour relay is a personal and team challenge to complete as many laps as possible. Whether riding just for fun, or vying for a podium spot in your category, the Epic 8 Hour will be a memorable experience. Using Ontario’s premier Mountain Bike destinations and trails, the Epic 8 Hour promises the best in facilities, fun and varied courses, and support for riders.

    War on the Shore – TBD, join War on the Shore Criterium for a fourth installment. This scenic and technical course offers a vast variety of participant categories from the Open Beach Cruiser Rally to the Open Pro/Am, lots of great prizing and cash purses, and Southampton’s stellar beach!

    Andy's Ride - TBD, head out to the heart of Muskoka and join Andy’s Ride, an OPP escorted cycling featuring 3 routes: 35km, 90km and 135km. Enjoy post ride entertainment, lunch and swag. Tax receipt from Hospice Muskoka for $250. This event start and ends at the Port Carling Community Center.

    The Noble Pursuit- On July 26, ride in an event of a different sort. The Noble Puruit takes place in Peterborough County and is a self-supported team ride along a route that is a closely guarded secret, revealed to great fanfare (and the odd weak knee) on the morning of the event. It will be long — around 170km.

    Great Waterfront Trail Adventure 2020 - TBD, Cycle the North and join the XXth annual GWTA for 65-107km (40 – 67 miles) of riding per day. Enjoy the majestic scenery that inspired the Group of Seven from the seat of your bike as you ride 410 km (255 miles) from Sault Ste. Marie to Sudbury through 26 communities and four First Nations.

    PwC MS Bike - Grand Bend to London - On July 25-26, sign up for a two-day tour that will have you cycling 150km, starting at the Grand Bend Motorplex through the rural communities of Southwestern Ontario to Western University and back. After crossing the energetic finish line alongside 1,500 cyclists on day one, you can relax with a massage, a hot meal and a beverage from our Beer Garden before joining us at our inspiring evening celebration. On day two, have your bike tuned up by the start line mechanics and strap on your helmet to enjoy the ride back to where you started.     Eager Beaver 100 2.0 - TBD, ride Eager Beaver 100 2.0, a re-birth of the Eager Beaver 100 mountain bike race but with a new twist. This is a 100 mile, 100k or 50k bicycle race/ride. That is it. It isn’t a road race or a mountain bike race or a fondo, or even a fondue. It is just a bike race/ride. With a lot of gravel.

    Wheely Awesome Scavenger Hunt - TBD, gear up for Causeway’s first ever scavenger hunt by bike. Venture out on your own or as part of a team with your friends and decipher a series of clues that will take you around the city. Test your knowledge to solve each clue and flood the streets of Ottawa with bikes. All proceeds go towards supporting people who have barriers to employment like mental illness, disability, and homelessness to find meaningful and lasting employment.

    Northern Pass - On August 9, 2020, ride in the 4th annual Northern Pass, a cycling adventure designed with passionate riders in mind. This is a unique opportunity to experience the best riding that Muskoka has to offer while raising vital funds for the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

    Friends for Life Bike Rally

    Friends For Life Bike Rally – Join a one-day ride from Toronto to Port Hope (108km) on August 9th, 2020 or join over 400 cyclists ride the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail from Toronto to Montreal – 600 km over 6 days. This 21st annual event which raises funds for people living with HIV/AIDS, is set for August 9 to 14, 2020. 

    Gran Fondo Lake Huron - The Gran Fondo Lake Huron is a fundraising bike ride, out of Southampton, Ontario, supporting the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation. The inaugural event is set to take place on Sunday, August 16th, 2020 and will offer four distances; 30km, 70km, 110km, and 160km. This ride welcomes cyclists of all levels, offering a fantastic and scenic tour of the Bruce County country side.

    Mountainview 9 Lives Enduro - TBD, head to Midland, Ontario for the best trails that Mountainview has to offer at the Nine Lives Enduro. The newest craze in MTB racing, an enduro is a same day stage race, where riders will compete on a series of timed stages, and must proceed to the next stage.

    Crank the Shield - CRANK IS TAKING A BREAK FOR 2020 AND WILL RETURN BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER IN 2021!

    Tour for Kids (Ontario) - August 14-16, 2020, marks the 17th year of Tour for Kids, an epic cycling adventure that raises funds for kids cancer camp programs. Ride 100km, 160km or 200km daily, pace groups for all, overnight accommodations included in your reg fee at Gzowski College, Trent University. Ride a different route each day in the Kawartha Lakes region, including: Pigeon Lake, Rice Lake and Stoney Lake. Additionally, we’re offering a MTB option at Tecasy Ranch on Saturday.

Take in the beauty of eastern Ontario, cross the finish line and enjoy afternoon activities at the JetSet Pub before a fun-filled night at the luxurious NAV Centre.     3 Port Tour - TBD, challenge yourself to 160km - three ports, 100km - two ports or 50km - one port road ride. Cycle through Elgin County’s waterfront communities, historic sites, scenic countryside and surroundings. Limited to 500 riders, sign up early. All routes are supported and everyone gets lunch at Port Bruce.

    Moveathon Overnight Experience - On August 16-17, 2020, Enjoy a beautiful scenic ride, Sunday (65km), Monday (135km) in Muskoka on the Moveathon Ride's new two-day overnight charity ride.

    Tour de Bonnechere - The XXth Annual Tour de Bonnechere takes place TBD and will include a "family friendly" 20k tour from Eganville to the Bonnechere Caves. The "old favorites" 50k and 100k routes will include the 4k ascent from Cormac to Foymount, Ontario's highest populated point, offering spectacular views of the Ottawa Valley enroute.

    PwC MS Bike - Niagara - On August 16, 2020, cycle along the historic Niagara parkway before hitting the picturesque Friendship Trail. Choose either a 40km or 75km flat route and make this one of the best ways to experience the Niagara region.     Cycle Camelot - Saturday, August 22, 2020, Cycle Camelot has united cycling enthusiasts and supporters of the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre for the past 8 years, raising over $250,000 to help support local people living with cancer, their families and caregivers.

    Kawartha Lakes Classic - The Kawartha Lakes Classic will be held on August 29, 2020. The Classic Cycling Tour has something for everyone, including routes of 13, 25, 50, 100 and 160 km to suit all levels of riders.

    El Bandito - TBD, El Bandito 140 is back for 2020! It is part of the StuporCross series with the Eager Beaver 100. Let’s be clear though, this will be a completely different course. Great scenery, some challenging stuff and unique trails that you didn’t know were there await. And new for 2018 there is a shorter gentler course option for those who think that having fun and enjoying scenery doesn’t have to involve untold pain and suffering.

    The Sudbury Camino - TBD, this route offers an authentic and unique Camino-like experience while enabling the discovery of Greater Sudbury's portion of the Great Trail (Trans Canada Trail). The Camino covers only a 28km section of the 93 km Sudbury segment of the Trans Canada Trail. 

    Gravel Road Clinic & Wine Tasting (co-ed) - August 22nd, 2020, sign up for a clinic that will prepare you for everything gravel riding may throw at you. From the different types of gravel roads, the proper techniques to ride loose climbs, potholes and bumpy descents, how to effectively hold lines and following wheels on gravel.

    Ride For Karen - TBD, join cyclists from across Ontario at Ride for Karen, an annual fundraising ride to send children with cancer to camp. Featuring a 160km and 100km cycling course, the ride starts at Markham and rolls through the countryside north of Toronto. The ride started in 2002 as a tribute to Karen Tobias who passed away from breast cancer. To date, more than $2.64 million has been raised.

    Tour di Via Italia - TBD, Now in its 62nd year, the Tour di Via Italia is the oldest historical, international street race in Ontario. Held on Labour Day weekend, the racing kicks off on Sunday.

    Caribou Charity Ride - TBD, the Caribou Charity Ride will start in Thunder Bay and travel through picturesque Oliver Paipoonge Township and is for everyone from the recreational rider to accomplished cyclists. Cyclists can choose to ride 50k, 75k, new 75k Gravel or 100k routes, each handpicked to showcase the best of cycling in Northern Ontario.

    Prince Edward County Gran Fondo - On September 12, 2020 choose from 3 ride distances - 50km, 100km and 150km. . Travel & Leisure recently described Prince Edward County as one of the top places to travel to in the world. Now ride there!

    Barrie 2 Baycrest - On September 13, 2020, celebrate the 24th annual Barrie 2 Baycrest ride. Travel through scenic countryside north of the city, and experience a convivial atmosphere and post-ride festivities. Riders can choose between a 100km or 50km route. Costs include limited edition jersey, breakfast, lunch and two tickets to post-ride dinner.

    EpicTOUR-Halton GTA GranFondo Epic Tour - This 8th annual (formerly named Epic Halton) multi-distance mass participation GranFondo-style cycling event on September 13th, 2020 features 165, 140, 125, 110, 80 or 50 km options as well as a 20 km Family Ride. Designed for all ages and abilities, the course explores the scenic and challenging terrain of Milton, Halton Hills, and Burlington.

    Limestone Century Bicycle Tour - The XXth annual Tour is TBD. This classic tour starts and end in Historic Portsmouth Village, Kingston ON. Three great routes to enjoy: 100 miles, 100km & 50km – each includes scenic villages, countryside, and shoreline of Lake Ontario. Proceeds from the event support Cycle Kingston, a registered charity that promotes cycling and cycling safety.

    lifeCYCLE - TBD, head out to scenic Wolfe Island for lifeCYCLE 2020! This ride raises funds for the University Hospital Kingston Foundation. There are 3 route options; 52km, 102km and a 24km route for families. All routes are suitable for road bikes, and a BBQ lunch will be provided.

    Alvar Treasure Rides - September 7-11, join this all-inclusive cycling vacation on beautiful Manitoulin Island. 5 day riding, 4 nights stay with multiple km routes available each day.

    Tour Paramedic Ride – TBD, join this four day, 550km ride and fundraiser from Toronto to Ottawa. This fully supported event is open to all cyclists, not just paramedics. Support and learn more about the monument to be built memorializing paramedics who have died in the line of duty, and the, all too often, mental health challenges paramedics are faced with.

    Peloton Ride - 12 September, 2020 is the annual Peloton Ride, supporting men's mental health & suicide awareness. Starting at the Velodrome in Milton, Halton Region, the event offers three different rides of 50, 80 or 120km followed by a festival at the Velodrome.

    Tour de Headwaters - On September 19, 2020 head to Inglewood to join the 6th anniversary of the Tour de Headwaters – a fundraising ride through the stunning hills of Headwaters. Choose a route to suit your skill level, and then pedal for a purpose. Last year this event saw over 320 riders, involved over 25 local businesses and raised over $65,000 for Headwaters Health Care Foundation.

    PwC MS Bike - Toronto - On September 13, are you looking for a laid-back urban cycling experience to round out your summer? Choose a 30km or 50km route that takes you through the beautiful Humber River Trail and into Toronto’s waterfront parks where you can enjoy the city’s iconic skyline while cycling along the shores of Lake Ontario.     Thousand Island Gran Fondo - On September 13, 2020, choose from 3 ride distances, 160KM, 120KM and 90Km. The ride takes you all the way through the Thousand Islands Parkway where it finishes at the outskirts of Brockville. Riders will cross over a bridge at the 401 onto beautiful secondary country roads all the way back into Gananoque. Cyclists will continue along Hwy 2 back into Kingston and the Woolen Mill finish area.

    Knobby Tire Trek for Kids - A family-friendly, mountain biking/hiking event raising money and awareness in support of children's charities and programs. Held TBA at Tecasy Ranch, a privately owned 600-acre, outdoor-adventure facility located in Buckhorn, Ontario, with close to 50km of trails and camping facilities on-site.

    8 Hours of Hurtin' in Haliburton - On September 19th, 2020, challenge yourself to 8 hours of epic private backcountry gravel roads in Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve for a racing experience like none other in Ontario. The 27km loop features zero pavement, fully stocked aid stations, beautiful lake vistas, 330m of climbing/lap, and the flowiest gravel roads that will leave a grin on your face. Race solo or in teams of two or three, sleep onsite and enjoy the afterparty!

     

    24h Mosport Velo - On September 21, 2020 enjoy an extraordinary cycling experience with 24h Mosport Velo. This 24-hour cycling relay experience is a team fundraising event in support of Special Olympics Ontario with 100% of the rider pledges and donations going to help Special Olympics athletes. 24h Mosport Velo offers exceptional riding that includes pristine pavement on a closed race course, gently banked turns, and dynamic elevation shifts throughout the 4km professional Grand Prix circuit, north of Bowmanville.

    Pedal for Portage - TBD, join us for a charity ride in scenic Centre Wellington. Choose to ride a 30km or 60km road route or a 20k trail ride. 30km route will also host a Vintage Bicycle Ride! Start and Finish Lines at the Grand River Raceway. Breakfast, lunch, snacks and entertainment! Proceeds support Portage Centre for youth battling substance addiction.

    Fall Epic 8 Hour - Ride this MTB Relay race on September 26, 2020. This event is all about the camaraderie, sportsmanship and the gritty, hard-core enjoyment of riding with friends. The Epic 8 Hour relay is a personal and team challenge to complete as many laps as possible. Whether riding just for fun, or vying for a podium spot in your category, the Epic 8 Hour will be a memorable experience. Using Ontario’s premier Mountain Bike destinations and trails, the Epic 8 Hour promises the best in facilities, fun and varied courses, and support for riders..

    The Beau's Oktoberfest Bike Ride - Event TBD, cycle from Bourget, Ottawa or Cornwall to Beau’s Oktoberfest in Vankleek Hill to raise money for the United Way Ottawa and United Way SD&G’s “All That Kids Can Be” programs. The United Way’s “All That Kids Can Be” program ensures that kids in at-risk neighbourhoods have access to critical programming such as homework clubs and summer camps.

    Perth County Cycling Tour - The Stratford Cycle Club will be hosting their 2nd annual tour TBD. There will be three routes through Perth County on safe rural roads at distances of 25, 66 and 104 km. Routes starting in Stratford's Market Square including stops in St.Marys and Mitchell, and a light lunch will be provided for those who sign up by September 1.

    The Healing Cycle Ride - On September 15th, join the 15th annual Healing Cycle Bike Ride in support of hospice care in Ontario. We have rides of 10 km, 25 km, 50 km, and 100 km so please join this family oriented event to help this great cause. If you don't wish to raise funds, you can sign up just to do the ride. Wheels of Hope - Ride with Purpose, Ride with Us on September 19 in the 8th annual Cycling Tour. 1 in 5 Cancer Patients cannot get to and from their life saving treatments, help fuel their rides. 100% of Money raised by participants goes to the Transportation Program. 100, 60, 30 km distances.

    Gianni Giro - Join the 4th Annual Gianni Giro in September in King City. Get ready for another year of great cycling, as riders will be able to choose from 5km, 45km and 90km distances and finish up at a highly charged fun fair and bbq.

    Greg`s Ride - TBD, join others for Greg’s Ride: Ontario's Ride for Safer Cycling, where 100% of the profits go towards supporting cycling advocacy and programs across Ontario. Route options include 8, 37 and 77km, beginning and ending at 65 Hatt Street in Dundas by the Shawn & Ed Brewing Company.

    Ride the Vine - A 2-day luxury cycling and culinary experience September TBD in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Visit wineries and enjoy gourmet catered meals along with 2 days of supported rides with culinary stops enroute. Space is limited.

    Essex Region Conservation Bike Tour - TBD, this ride incorporates all the last sights of summer. Whether you are touring through picturesque country roads and along historic County Road 50, or meandering the off-road nature ride on the Chrysler Canada and Cypher Systems Group Greenways, this event is not to be missed. Come out for a great ride and help raise funds for our local trail system. Back by popular demand, all routes will begin and end at Mettawas Park in Kingsville, and will feature a lakefront festival with local food and entertainment!

    OBBR Marketplace ENG w bleed 011619 1Ontario By Bike Ride - TBD, join Ontario By Bike on a two day self-guided and fully supported bike tour and cycle some of the most spectacular routes in Ontario discovering great new places and scenic trails. Route details for the 2020 rides will be announced in February. Stay tuned

    The Growling Beaver Brevet - TBD Growling Beaver Brevet is a social (non-race) ride with 200 cyclists riding 40, 100 or 200km routes through the scenic Grey County. Sign up early for the September event's that will feature Beaver Valley and Georgian Bay communities and merchants that have supported cyclists through the summer season.

    Bikes4Bibles (Fergus Ride) - TBD, enjoy a 32km ride (approx. 2-3 hours) around the Elora Cataract Trail, starting from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Fergus to the town of Bellwood and back to Fergus.

    FAB Trails Festival - TBD, The Frontenac Arch Biosphere Network (FABN) is organizing a Trails Festival to encourage and inspire community residents and visitors to appreciate the wealth of biodiversity as experienced through the trails of Charleston Lake Provincial Park. Opening ceremonies will be held on September 28, to capture the beauty of the biosphere in the Fall. This will be followed by two weeks of self-directed hiking, paddling, or cycling pre-selected trails in the biosphere.

    Harvest Ride - TBD, head to Northumberland county for the 2nd annual Harvest Ride on some of the most beautiful, rolling roadways in Ontario in support of Switchback Cyclery. There will be 3 different guided, scenic rides for 3 levels of riders - 15km, 25km, or 60km - through the idyllic countryside, followed by a farm-fresh lunch at Headwaters Community Farm & Education Centre just 75 minutes east of Toronto.

    The Campfire Ride 2020 - TBD, join the Campfire ride at Hockley Valley Resort for a fundraising event in support of Camp Oochigeas and help send kids with cancer to camp. Tide options include 70km or 102km followed by a BBQ banquet lunch. $150 registration Fee (includes Jersey and Lunch).

    Tour the Hills - September 26, 2020, sign up for the inaugural Tour the Hills event in Halton Hills. This one-day event takes participants through the picturesque countryside of Halton Hills and is designed to get the community involved in a way that’s enjoyable, challenging, safe and beneficial to everyone involved.

     

  • OCTOBER AND BEYOND

    Toronto International Bicycle Show - Fall Blowout - TBD, head to the Bicycle Fall Blowout Sale, a one-day only, Year-End Clearout, from 10am to 5pm. Get there early as this once-a-year, seven-hour sales blitz draws a crowd. 

    Bruce Peninsula Gravel Gran Fondo - TBD, take a run up back gravel roads in Bruce Peninsula from Lion’s Head Lighthouse to the Cabot Head lighthouse and back. Shorter routes available. Event is in support of the Bruce Peninsula ECO Adventures and Biosphere Association.

    Dam Cross - Two event days of cyclocross racing and fun at Pittock Conservation Area, Woodstock, Oxford County, October dates TBD.  Everesting Bike Challenge - (2020 Date Pending), head out to Caledon and join an exclusive 75 other cyclists to work in teams of 4-8 to cumulatively cycle the equivalent elevation of Mount Everest (8,848 metres)

    Canadian Cyclocross Championships - A three day cyclocross celebration November 1 to 3, Nicholls Oval Park in Peteborough with Shimano Canadian Cyclocross Championships and PTBO CX UCI C2 events.

    The Silvergoose - Pan American Cyclcocross Championship and Cyclocross Festival over 3 days at Little Lake Park in Midland, November 8 to 10.
