Ontario Power Generation's Pickering Nuclear Generating Station is one of the world's largest nuclear generating stations, located in the City of Pickering along the shoreline of Lake Ontario. Providing 12 per cent of Ontario's electricity, it has been in operation since 1971. Come and see how nuclear energy works and learn its benefits and contribution to the total energy needs of our modern communities. Join us for OPG's Tuesdays on the Trail community family programs in Alex Robertson Park each Tuesday throughout July and August. Programs are free and are offered at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 27 will be our annual Movie Under the Stars at 8 p.m. Information Centre Hours: Monday to Friday, excluding holidays 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
