Carson’s Camp is a bike ride or walk to the sandy shores of Lake Huron, making easy beach access one of its big draws. The campground is large and well developed, with 200 fully serviced overnight sites and 700 total sites. For bikepacking lovers between May 15th and June 25th, Carson’s offers 8′ x 12′ hard roof insulated cabanas with pillow top double and 2 single bunks mattresses, hotel fridge, a portable 2 burner electric cooktop, outdoor awning, picnic table and firepit for a quiet and dry overnight stay.

Carson’s Camp has a wide array of facilities including an Indoor pool, Adult‑only hot tub and fitness centre with multiple playgrounds, splash parks and ziplines for kids.

On‑site services include washrooms, showers ($), laundromat ($), store ($), and controlled access gates.

Once settled in, a short ride into the heart of Sauble Beach offers some amazing restaurants & fun shops. Canoe rentals are available at Sauble Falls for a leisurely winding river trip through picturesque farmlands and steep sand dunes.

Bruce County offers multiple trails, including mountain bike and mixed‑use trails.
Connect to trails around Sauble Falls – Approximate length: ~18 km. Mostly forested, with sand, dirt roads, and some rolling terrain (gentle hills). or Sauble Cross‑Country Trail – Loop trail (~4.2 miles / ~6.8 km) Used for hiking and mountain biking in summer.
A little further up the road are – Oliphant Fen, Spirit Rock, Southampton, Port Elgin etc. depending on how desired distance and experience level.

Take a 15 minute boat ride to Chantry Island on the Peerless II and enjoy a guided tour of the restored Keepers Cottage and climb the 106 steps to the top of the Magnificent Imperial Lighthouse. The tour is 2 hours and requires a degree of agility and fitness. Proper footwear is manditory and children must be 4′ tall. Prebook to avoid disappointment. The Tour offered on weekends in June and 7 days a week starting July 1 until Labor Day.

Sauble Falls is a smaller park with a range of campsites including some with electrical service. All sites are convenient to the showers and comfort stations. Spring and fall spawning runs for Rainbow Trout and Chinook salmon. Watch the fish struggle over each ledge of this cascading waterfall to spawn upstream. Park offers excellent fishing opportunities. This historic falls used to power a timber mill and generating station. Now flanked by immature forest, the falls are the end of the Rankin River canoe route – ideal for novice canoeists. (canoe rentals available).
