Buoys Eatery is located on the wonderful Gore Bay waterfront on Manitoulin Island. Our dining room and patio have a great view of the harbour and marina. We specialize in local foods and make much of our food from scratch using local growers and suppliers. Enjoy our fresh made pizza or pastas, local fish dishes and local desserts. Have a beverage and enjoy the scenery, go for a dip at the swim beach or check out the boardwalk. Gore Bay has many wonderful bike friendly B & BS and shopping opportunities.
Enjoy “Backyard living” at Cedarwood Lodge; unwind in this beautiful woodland setting. You will want to linger.Cedarwood Lodge is an alpine style chalet dwelling constructed from Manitoulin Cedar, nestled in 3 acres of trees in Providence Bay on Manitoulin Island.
Cedarwood Lodge has two facilities: 1) Self contained ground floor Apartment comprising sitting/dining area, kitchenette and bathroom. Kitchenette equipped with fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. Dishes and silverware provided. The Apartment has a bedroom with a Queen size bed, and 3 piece bathroom; the sitting room has a double pull out bed to accommodate an additional two people and a child’s bed. Bed linens and towels provided.
2) The Queen Patio Suite Queen size bedroom with en suite bathroom This facility is available separately or can be combined with the Apartment. Central stairs access connects the two facilities, if required; also a small child’s bed can be added if required.

Charlton Lake Camp is a housekeeping cottage resort set among the towering pines in Northern Ontario’s Rainbow Country just 2km off of HWY 6 between Espanola and Little Current. The cottages are modern one, two and three bedrooms, with large, well-equipped kitchens, modern bathrooms and comfortable living areas. Each cottage has a fully screened porch, propane barbecue and docking right in front. All face the waters of Charlton Lake and are steps from the beautiful sandy beach. The camp offers boat, canoe and kayak rentals, as well as a launch ramp and docking for guests who bring their own boat. The camp offers fishing (bass, walleye, pike and pan fish), swimming, boating and hiking. Eco-tourists will love the easy access to Killarney Provincial Park for canoeing, kayaking and hiking. Nestled in the magnificent La Cloche Mountain range, with the multicolored quartzite rock of the Canadian Shield, Charlton Lake Camp provides a haven for guests looking for peace and quiet. The spectacular scenery, whether from the seat of a canoe or atop one of the mountain peaks, is quite simply – breathtaking. A perfect location for artists and photographers, it is immediately obvious why the Group of Seven called this home.
The M.S. Chi-Cheemaun is a passenger/vehicle ferry on route from Tobermory to Manitoulin Island. The Chi-Cheemaun operates between May – October with multiple daily sailings. The M.S. Chi-Cheemaun is more than a ship; it is a symbol of Owen Sound, Bruce Peninsula and Manitoulin’s hospitality and love for nature. Its gleaming white sides hold not just passengers and cargo, but the memories of thousands of amazing voyages across the crystal blue waters it calls home.
The 2 hour crossing is a great alternative to highway driveway, you can relax on the decks while taking in the breathtaking scenery, or you can enjoy one of our many on-board experiences from our Sunset Dinner Cruise, Stargazers’ Delight Tour, Dinner & Concert Cruise or one of the many interactive presentation reflective of the rich culture and landscapes.

Manitoulin Brewing Company is the product of a couple of adventurous, interesting and fun-loving guys from Northern Ontario. They’ve been around, swam with the sea turtles, lived the concrete jungle and wrestled with alligators. Or so they’ve said.
Manitoulin Eco Park is an Attractions Canada Award Winner offering accommodations, activites and events including deluxe tipi tenting, woodsy campsites, quaint camping cabins and comfortable bed & breakfast rooms. On site activities include a solar heated swimming pool, 18 hole miniature golf, nature interpretive centre, educational hiking trails, cycling routes, astronomy, birding, archery, playground, store, fossils, orienteering, picnic area, and RASC (Royal Astronomical Society Canada) designated dark sky preserve. We are very cycling friendly and have four free cycling routes that begin and end at our park for guests who stay with us overnight.. Nestled in the heart of Rainbow Country, Manitoulin Island is a hidden gem located in the northern part of lake Huron. Its vast coastlines and crystal clear waters intrigue adventurers from all over the world who come to experience its rugged beauty. The largest freshwater island in the world, it has an area of 2 766 square kilometres, which accommodates a diverse, untouched landscape. There are three ways to get on the Island; the conventional driving route along highway 6 that leads to the world famous swing bridge, the MS Chi-Cheemaun (Ojibwe for “big Canoe”) which makes many daily trips between Tobermory and South Baymouth from May to October, and by one of the two airports (located in Gore Bay, and between Little Current and Manitowaning). In the summer and fall months Manitoulin’s population of 12000 grows exponentially because of the excellent fishing spots, cycling, hiking trails, and bar-none some of the world’s greatest hunting. For those who love adventure, communities also host many different festivals during the summer and offer fantastic cultural experiences such as Native Powwows.

The NCBP boasts 5 km of diverse Euro-style, short gravity trails that feature technical, cross country and flow trails. They promise to provide a challenging and fun ride for beginner, intermediate and advanced riders. Riders will also be able to hone their skills at the pump-track. This place was founded by none other than the legendary “Miss Willie” and her partner, and it all started as a small-scale trail riding and camping experience in cozy bunkies nestled in the heart of the island’s lush forests.
Nowadays, the Lewis family has taken over the reins and added their own special touch, renaming it to The Kicking Mule Guest Ranch, including some rootin-tootin’ special events and the Hilltop Emporium, with all the modern amenities to provide top-notch “glamping” for our city-slicker friends. We take pride in welcoming guests from all corners of the globe and showing them some good old-fashioned cowboy hospitality in our little guest ranch.
From May to October, we’ve got 12 unique guest accommodations available, each with its own picnic table, fire pit, and sitting area. Our fully equipped outdoor summer kitchen features hot water on demand, propane cook stoves, and a BBQ grill, while our modern bathhouse boasts two individual washrooms, a shower, and an outdoor sink.

Timberlane Rustic Lodges is a very traditional, very casual, and very private full-service cabin resort (all facilities are for cabin guests only) with individual rustic cabins The lodge is hidden away in a quiet location on Timberlane Bay along the South shore of Lake Manitou on 200 acres of quiet countryside.
You can set your own Island agenda, or get in some great fishing, while we do absolutely everything for you – for a day, a weekend or a week. You will feel ‘right at home’ in our experienced hands. We have a recreation hall, a beach, lots of fishing boats (fish cleaning and packaging included!), big pontoon boats, a nature walking-trail and a lakefront fire every evening. We also offer delicious home cooked meals in the amazing atmosphere of our century-old farm house, and a happy-hour on Saturday evenings – all of which takes place at the resort which has been providing comfort and good value since 1926 to our many long-time guests who return year after year.
Cyclists are welcome! We offer private cabins and bed and breakfast accommodation. Transportation to and from the ferry for cyclists and or their luggage can be arranged. Personal items are safe here but if you wish, bicycles can be taken into the cabins or securely locked to the covered porch railings. Repairs can be arranged with the management. An official repair shop is located on Manitoulin and transportation can also be arranged. Points of interest and other local accommodations can be made available upon request, should you wish to tour the island.
Our season runs from May to the end of Hunting Season in November. You can also enjoy winter activities such as ice fishing, cross country skiing, or snowmobiling (by reservation only). Kids of all ages have a great time here so call about our Winter and Summer Specials for Families and Seniors.
Twin Peaks offers four elegant, comfortable rooms in a private and relaxed environment on a year-round basis. Widgawa historic lodge and cottages are located on the West River among old growth forest of white pine and hemlock, and was originally built to accommodate goldminers between 1911 and 1939.
Today, Widgawa offers self-catering cottage accommodation for up to 42 guests, plus camping, group camping and wilderness camping.
