Several kilometers of park roads are available for cyclists. Bikes are also allowed on the Beach, Bluff and Brule Trails. Since these are multi-use trails, racing is not permitted and cyclists must yield to pedestrians and hikers. Cyclists are encouraged to respect and protect the often sensitive environments that these trails pass through by riding only on the designated trail surface.

An extremely busy park – Reservations highly recommended at anytime of year. Bike Trail: 14-kilometres. starts with a wooded path from the Park Store to the traffic circle. It then takes over the left side of the one-way Day-Use Road, along the Old Ausable River Channel, and travels through the wooded landscape to Picnic Area 8. The Savanna Trail then continues by turning into the forest once again. This section of the trail follows a wooded path to the Visitor Centre, where it exits the forest and runs along the left shoulder of the road, over the Store Bridge, taking you back to the Park Store. A breathtakingly beautiful park with 10 km of sand beach on the shores of mighty Lake Huron. Extremely rare and fragile Oak Savanna and Coastal Dune Ecosystems with extraordinary biodiversity – over 800 vascular plants, over 300 bird species. Sunsets here are ranked by National Geographic as among the “Top 10 Best in the World”!

Raven’s Knoll is a campground specializing in group camping and special events. As a result, often during the week, you will have 100 acres to yourself! We offer camping sites on flat ground: near the beach, in the forest or in the open. There are no assigned spaces – it is a more organic layout. For those without tents, we do have a cabin and a trailer for rent. There is a large communal area with tables, chairs, a lending library, games, cards and children’s toys. We are a pet-friendly campground; pets must be under your control at all times, but are welcome at the beach, in the buildings, trailers, etc. Raven’s Knoll has 1000 feet of river-front on the beautiful Bonnechere River. There is a fishing pier; great fishing right off the dock! Down the beach is a floating dock, sandy beach area and a children’s playground. We also have a canoe, a kayak, archery range and a secluded clothing-optional pond. We offer a food truck with both healthy and naughty foods, and beverages some weekends and during scheduled events. Restaurants and stores are a short distance away, either east to Eganville or west to Golden Lake. Raven’s Knoll has many “pixie bikes” on site – free bikes that are identified by paint as being ours. Guests are encouraged to explore the site or go off-site on the bikes. Raven’s Knoll is closed to the public from July 31-Aug.5 and August 16-18. Otherwise, even if other events are going on, you are welcome to camp.

Sauble Falls is a smaller park with a range of campsites including some with electrical service. All sites are convenient to the showers and comfort stations. Spring and fall spawning runs for Rainbow Trout and Chinook salmon. Watch the fish struggle over each ledge of this cascading waterfall to spawn upstream. Park offers excellent fishing opportunities. This historic falls used to power a timber mill and generating station. Now flanked by immature forest, the falls are the end of the Rankin River canoe route – ideal for novice canoeists. Ten non power sites plus ten power sites with both power and water hookup. Dumping station on site. Reservations are recommended however “always room” for self-supported cyclists on greenspace areas.
