Located on a beautiful 60-acre estate just west of Seventh Street on Fourth Avenue, the 13th Street Winery offers visitors the opportunity to sample a full expression of the land. Owners Doug & Karen Whitty bring more than 100 years of farming tradition to 13th Street while winemaker Jean-Pierre Colas has been involved with wineries his entire life starting as a young boy in his hometown of Chablis, France. After subsequent winemaking stints in Beaujolais and Chile, Jean-Pierre arrived in Niagara in 2000 and joined our team with the 2009 harvest.
We welcome you to sample our collection of small-lot, benchmark wines from Chardonnay, Riesling, Gamay Noir and Pinot Noir along with superior traditional method sparkling wines. Stop by to view the ever-changing Canadian original art collection while you enjoy local artisan cheese and charcuterie with wines by the glass on our wrap-around verandah. Alvento Winery, located in Vineland near the stunning Lake Ontario waterfront, has gained a reputation for being a notable player in the wine industry. Founded in 2001, the winery has been making waves as the first winery in Ontario to grow the much-coveted Nebbiolo grape, which has helped it establish a premium reputation as a small batch wine producer.
The vineyard is made up of a combination of light sandy soils and heavier red clay loam soils, creating an ideal environment for growing classic premium wine grape varieties.
The winery’s name, “Alvento,” is derived from the Italian word for “in the wind,” symbolizing the winery’s dedication to crafting aromatic and fruit-forward wines. Following its recent revitalization in 2018, Alvento is committed to producing wines that embody the essence of its rich history and name.

Andrews Winery is a seasonal, farm-based winery, located north of Milton along the beautiful Niagara Escarpment. Operating since 1999, Andrews Winery has become known for its quality fruit wines, winning more than 75 national awards and delighting visitors with the unique experience of strawberry, raspberry, blueberry, apple and currant wines, as well as more traditional red and white grape wines and hard ciders. One of Niagara’s oldest premium wineries located in the charming village of Jordan. Tastings and tours (check website for times) and a spacious, comfortable tasting bar. We are celebrated by Wine Spectator and Decanter for our Rieslings, but most wine lovers know that we make a full range of white and red wines as well as terrific sparkling. Good news for bicyclists is our new wine club which means you don’t have to haul your wine choices away—they can be sent right to your home.
