Located on a beautiful 60-acre estate just west of Seventh Street on Fourth Avenue, the 13th Street Winery offers visitors the opportunity to sample a full expression of the land. Owners Doug & Karen Whitty bring more than 100 years of farming tradition to 13th Street while winemaker Jean-Pierre Colas has been involved with wineries his entire life starting as a young boy in his hometown of Chablis, France. After subsequent winemaking stints in Beaujolais and Chile, Jean-Pierre arrived in Niagara in 2000 and joined our team with the 2009 harvest.
We welcome you to sample our collection of small-lot, benchmark wines from Chardonnay, Riesling, Gamay Noir and Pinot Noir along with superior traditional method sparkling wines. One of the first wineries in Prince Edward County, we are located on a bicentennial farm, with a virtual clos of barns overlooking Lake Ontario and a pioneer cemetery dating back to 1809, it is a storied and picturesque environment for tasting some of the eight grape varietals grown on the property. The five bedroom Winery Farmhouse is rented out through out the year, an ideal base for three of four couples who want to explore the County.

One of Niagara’s oldest premium wineries located in the charming village of Jordan. Tastings and tours (check website for times) and a spacious, comfortable tasting bar. We are celebrated by Wine Spectator and Decanter for our Rieslings, but most wine lovers know that we make a full range of white and red wines as well as terrific sparkling. Good news for bicyclists is our new wine club which means you don’t have to haul your wine choices away—they can be sent right to your home.
Helpful Hint: If you plan to stage here in Jordan, use the Fire Hall parking lot on 19th St and have access to their modern public toilets. Right across street is a bicycle repair stand on the east side of the Jordan House.
