Whether you have your own bike or need to rent one, we can plan, organize, and guide you on your next road, gravel, or mountain bike adventure in the Madawaska and Bonnechere Valleys. A certified NCCP community cycling coach, Robert is an accomplished cyclist and racer in road, gravel, cyclocross, mountain bike, and track disciplines. A father, artist-educator, theatre artist, photographer, and filmmaker, Robert divides his time between the quiet roads and beautiful vistas of the Ottawa Valley with the hustle and bustle of the Greater Toronto Area. He prides himself on being a friendly, personable, and enthusiastic riding partner, and will show you all of the gems that the Madawaska and Bonnechere Valleys have to offer, including quiet roads, hidden waterfalls and streams, along with beautiful hiking spots and remote beaches for swimming after a ride. With his camera in hand, Robert is sure to take many photographs of you on your bike, and you’ll be sure to have stellar photographic mementos of you enjoying your cycling adventure in the Ottawa Valley. Apart from our guided tours, Madawaska Valley Cycling also has informal local club rides that meet multiple times a week during the summer to ride road and gravel routes out of Barry’s Bay, Wilno, and Killaloe. Distances are usually around 100 km or more and average 30 km/h, depending on the terrain and surface. If you are newer to riding or looking to improve your technique, ask MVC about riding clinics to improve your skills and confidence while riding solo or in a peloton.
