The Bonnechere Caves have been welcoming people from all over the world for over 55 years. We provide a safe, educational, informative and fun tour for people of all ages. Everyone from babies in backpacks to senior citizens have enjoyed the handiwork of Mother Nature here along the beautiful Bonnechere River. Reservations are not necessary as we have staff on hand to take you on tour when you arrive.
If you’re an adventure-seeking cycle enthusiast, Scenic Caves Nature Adventures is a prime destination for you! Challenge your skills and body by peddling a 1000 foot vertical ascent up to the top of the escarpment on Scenic Caves Road. Though it’s only 1 km. long with two switchbacks, the ride is guaranteed to get your heart pumping. Once you reach our natural playground, give your bike a rest. Stretch your legs and catch your breath by hiking a self-guided trail of caves, caverns and crevasses, carved millions of years ago by glacial ice. Cross Southern Ontario’s longest 420’ Suspension bridge and savour the breathtaking views from the highest point of the Niagara Escarpment. Get your adrenaline pumping as you soar a half-mile down Canada’s longest zip ride – the Thunderbird Twin Zip Line. An award-winning bike-friendly tourist attraction, Scenic Caves Nature Adventures is located in the fabulous Town of the Blue Mountains, an area that has been recognized by a bronze ‘Bicycle friendly community award” from the “Share the Road Cycling Coalition in Canada”. Fully closed running/hiking shoes are required. Green season activities are available between May and October (various packages available).
