Located at 15 Curtis Avenue South in Paris Ontario, directly on the S.C. Johnson Trail, the County of Brant Community Services Building houses Brant Tourism. A safe and very convenient area for cyclists, the building has a bicycle rack & picnic table area. During business hours (0830-1630 M-F) there is access to washrooms, water, first aid, tourism staff, maps & destination brochures. Within a couple hundred meters there are restaurants, grocery stores and convenience stores. The County of Brant Community Relations Department is also housed in this building and they offer a wonderful “Bike Lend” program. Maxwell’s Cabin is an eco-friendly original pioneer log cabin (circa 1852) #408145 Grey County Rd 4 – just east of Maxwell in a 50-acre hardwood bush. The cabin has an open loft that sleeps 4 (one queen & 2 singles) and a downstairs bedroom (queen). An expanse of windows looks out on the adjacent stone patio and forest. The cabin features an indoor electric composting toilet, heated outdoor shower, full size BBQ and a wood burning stove with glass door (firewood provided). In harmony with nature this is a place to escape the hustle and bustle, enjoy a good book from our library while listening to a variety of music from our collection of CDs or just kick back with some friends and get caught up. All linens, towels, and self serve continental breakfast included. You will rediscover your roots while we do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable! Open May 1st to October 31st.
