We are a small family run organic fruit and vegetable farm in the highlands of Calabogie. Using organic permaculture practices we grow high quality fruits and vegetables, along with our own honey from the bee hives we have for pollinating the gardens. In our on farm store (which is a relocated historical timber frame barn) we also carry a variety of other producer and local handcrafted artisan products from around the Ottawa Valley. Our forest is sustainably managed using our team of horse to harvest selected trees that I use for a number of things around the farm ( lumber, firewood, and handcrafted woodworking).

Canada’s unique agricultural heritage and future is featured at the Museum. Explore the sights and sounds of farm life through animals, exhibitions, treasures from the collection, hands-on demonstrations, and delicious foods. The Museum is located on the Central Experimental Farm, a 425-hectare crop research station and National Historic Site. Visit the animal barns and explore the captivating exhibitions. With a pinch of history and a dash of myth busting, the newest exhibition Food Preservation: The Science You Eat highlights the role science plays in delaying food decay and keeping food nutritious and safe from farm to fork. See renewable energy in action in the Museum’s exhibition Energy Park: Nature at Work, try to spot the queen bee in the live observation hive in Taking Care of Beesness, and explore Tractors, where you can even climb inside a farmer’s “office in the field.”
Unique in the nation’s capital, Cumberland Heritage Village Museum provides an immersive, fun, and educational experience that showcases life in the 1920s and 30s with dozens of heritage and true-to-the-era reproduction buildings – including a working sawmill and blacksmith forge – heritage breed farm animals, people in costume, vintage tractor-pulled wagon rides, and so much more. The museum is open during the summer on Wednesdays to Sundays, from 10 am to 5 pm.

Le Musée-village du patrimoine de Cumberland offre une occasion unique de vivre une expérience amusante et éducative dans la capitale nationale qui vous plongera dans la vie des années 1920 et 1930. Venez contempler les dizaines d’édifices patrimoniaux et de reproductions représentatives de l’époque, y compris une scierie et une forge qui fonctionnent encore ainsi que les animaux de races patrimoniales, et profitez-en pour rencontrer les personnages costumés, faire des tours de chariots tirés par des tracteurs de l’époque, et bien plus encore. Le musée est ouvert pendant l’été les mercredis aux dimanches, de 10 h à 17 h.

We welcome you to explore, discover and be inspired by our Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Alpacas, Icelandic horses, exotic chickens, Apothecary Garden, Shiitake Mushroom Lodge, Apiary and groomed nature trails with breathtaking views of the Northumberland Hills. Visitors are welcome to stay the day, bike and hike the grounds (we have 200 acres to explore) and just enjoy the fresh air, farm, forest, meadows and the sweet smell of goat and alpaca poop…..Our on-site gift shop features our premium goat milk edibles, soaps and skin care. And we also offer B&B in our beautiful century farm house. Camping is also available. If you time it right, there are often tours, events, workshops and other programs as well. Meleg’s Lakeview Orchard is a family fruit and vegetable farm. We offer u-pick and ready picked seasonal fruits such as strawberries, cherries, raspberries, peaches, blackberries, apples and pumpkins. We also grow field tomatoes, potatoes, beans, peppers, different type of melons and more which are offered in our store. We make quality apple cider and apple cider vinegar as well as paprika spice. We have an on-site retail store where you can relax and enjoy a piece of home made pie, apple cider or other treats. Also you can rest outside by a picnic table located in a shaded area. On-site restroom is provided.

We are a family owned and operated alpaca farm. Our pastures are besides a quiet country road and bicyclist stop all the time to admire the alpacas and a little chat. We offer farm visits and alpaca walks by appointment (hand feed the alpacas, take them for a walk on a leash down the country lane) Through Airbnb we offer backyard tenting.
