The Silver Bean Café is located in Millennium Park in Peterborough, Ontario. Since 2003, we have offered an experience of food and coffee near the Otonabee River. We call it ‘your waterfront cottage in the city’ because the Silver Bean Café is a community café, your cottage in the city of Peterborough. We serve: – Light lunches with specialty sandwiches and salads – Desserts made in-house and imported from other bakeries – Fair-trade organic coffee and beautifully prepared espresso drinks – Ice-cream from Kawartha Dairy See our menu to take a look at the food and drink options at the cafe. We are open from May 1st until Thanksgiving. See our hours to make sure you don’t come down when we’re closed! We get involved in a lot of community events and encourage you to join us and do the same. Get in touch with us and say Hello.

This is the second (and open year-round) Silver Bean Café location. We can be found in the atrium of the Canadian Canoe Museum. We get involved in a lot of community events and encourage you to join us and do the same. Get in touch with us and say Hello.

From the lakeside of Little Lake, you’ll will see our patio and easiest cafe access point into the stunning Canadian Canoe Museum. The front foyer is public space not requiring admission and is open for visitors and locals to enjoy. We have both indoor and outdoor seating options with fireside settings. This second location is liquor licensed and offers a similar yet tailored to the setting menu.

Cycle from cafe to cafe!  Once again, most trails lead to us, and the Canoe Museum is a bike friendly location. The Trans-Canada Trail (now called the Great Trail) runs right next to the Silver Bean Café and we’re honoured to be part of it.  Have lunch at one cafe and cycle over to the other for dessert!
