Loyalist Jam Farmhouse is the retirement house of my grandparents. It resembles a cottage retreat located on the Milford Road south of Picton, Prince Edward County. We are ideally located within 2 hours of Toronto and 3 hours of Ottawa, offering you a quick escape from the busy, noisy and smoggy city.
Just imagine yourself being awakened by bright sunlight instead of your radio alarm clock, enjoying your fresh cup of coffee while looking out onto the quiet farmland under the early sun. Watch the cow mosey by or listen to birds singing.
We have a resident oriel or ruby red hummingbird. All day you take fresh breaths of air, or drive to the long beaches of Sandbanks Provincial Park where you can swim and sunbathe on sandy beach. The farm house is located on an acre of land with a quiet back yard setting. There is many acreage of farmland surrounding the house.
Rental includes a fully equipped: stove, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and a wide array of dishes, utensils, pots and BBQ. Your first day will be rewarded with a continental breakfast provided.
The bedrooms are at the rear of the house, away from the bustle of the road. You might awake to the sound of song birds or the call of a calf looking for its morning breakfast. In the two bedrooms has each a queen sized bed with old fashioned tied quilts and synthetic duvet. There is lots of storage space either in the larger dressers or closets.
Enjoy your breakfast sitting on the deck off eat in kitchen. Your other meals can be the results of looking for enjoyable tastes of locally grown produce by using the fully appointed kitchen to prepare your own home cooked meals.
Dine out at any one of the numerous fine dining establishments located nearby. Sushi, French cuisine, authentic Indian or local fusion! Expand your horizons by following the your imagination.
Curl up on the couch, loveseat or oversized in the living room while enjoying a TV with movie or cuddle up with a book from the bookcase or a game. At the end of the day, unwind while you sit near the fire pit gazing out over the lawn, sipping the wine, local beer or cider you discovered earlier in the day.
There is a full 4 piece bath with a tub and shower with all new fixtures.
There is ample room for the overnight storage of bicycles.
