The Almaguin Highlands Information Centre (AHIC) has been serving the travelling public since 1990. AHIC provides 24/7 washroom facilities, tourist information, a shaded pavilion as a rest stop, carpool parking lot, and water bottle refill station. The Information Centre is also the site of the Perry Township Municipal Office. AHIC now boasts healthy snack and drink options, as well as an internet cafe, run by Northern Nerds.
We have over 40 acres of woodlands overlooking Doe Lake, a predominately sandy bottom warm water lake and a private sand beach with a separate Dog Beach. There are over 4km of hiking trails through our hardwood forest.
We have 3 cottages that are available for weekly rentals, or weekends during off-season time. We also have 5 overnight tent and RV campsites.
Our store down by the waterfront offers ice-cream, cold freshments, candy and snacks.
Make sure you stop in at the RIZZORT on your way through the Almaguin Highlands!
