The mountain bike trails are located in the Walden Trails off Regional Road 55 in Naughton, which is in the west end of the City of Greater Sudbury. The terrain is rolling to moderately hilly, with numerous rock outcrops, typical of the Precambrian Shield found across Northern Ontario. The trails are cut to take advantage these features. The 13 km of single track trails are maintained by the Walden Mountian Bike Club. They are open in early June once they dry out and close as early as Oct 15th. Some of the lower trails hold the moisture, so wait one day after a heavy rain. The rock, roots and bridge sections can be slippery during a rain and for a while after, so this is another time to avoid using the trails. The trails can remain open after Oct 15th when conditions remain dry, so watch our website end-of-season updates.
