Rails End Gallery and Arts Centre
Rails End Gallery and Arts Centre is a public art gallery located in Haliburton’s landmark rail station, at the head of Haliburton County Rail Trail.
It features exhibitions of contemporary art by regional artists in the main gallery (formerly the freight room), community programming and an eclectic Gallery Shop where you will discover one of a kind craft and art for home, cottage and gift-giving.
Admission to the gallery is free, donations gladly accepted. Rails End Gallery is a registered Canadian Charity (#118950641) devoted to bringing art to life in Haliburton.
Rails End is host to two major festivals each summer – Haliburton Art and Craft Festival (fourth weekend in July) where over 100 artists and artisans gather to show and sell their work in Head Lake Park next to the Gallery.
-Haliburton DrumFest (Labour Day Weekend), a lively celebration of drumming and rhythm in community with world drumming and percussion performances, drum circles and a vendor market.
