9th Annual Bluewater International Granfondo

The Bluewater International Granfondo (BIG) returns for its 9th annual event on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025, at Mike Weir Park in Sarnia, Ontario. With breathtaking routes, a welcoming atmosphere, and a mission that extends beyond cycling, BIG continues to be a must-attend event for cyclists of all levels.
BIG is more than just a ride—it’s a movement. Since its inception, the event has raised over $480,000 to support palliative care education in Sarnia-Lambton. These funds directly benefit St. Joseph’s Hospice, Bluewater Health, and programs like the Bluewater Palliative Care Retreat (BPCR). This retreat brings together healthcare professionals and volunteers to enhance their expertise in providing compassionate, holistic care. With your support, BIG continues to enrich the lives of patients and families in our community during life’s most challenging moments.
In 2025, the Bluewater International Granfondo will offer four route options: 30k, 50k, 100k, and 150k, designed for cyclists of all abilities. The event features a unique format with timed sections, allowing for a relaxed and flexible ride where you can stop at fuel stations and regroup with friends along the way. You’ll experience the stunning beauty of Lambton County as you cycle along the shores of Lake Huron, through peaceful country roads, and over the rolling hills of Arkona.
Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just starting out, the Bluewater International Granfondo offers an incredible opportunity to challenge yourself, explore breathtaking landscapes, and make a difference in your community.
Save the date—August 3rd, 2025—and join us at Mike Weir Park for an extraordinary day of cycling, celebration, and connection. Registration is still open, but spots are filling quickly, so don’t miss your chance to be part of this premier event!
