Every year there are more and more cycling events happening across Ontario. Below you’ll find information on a variety of recreational, touring and race events for 2021. We will continue to add cycling events throughout the year as the event dates are published.

Fatbike the SOO – TBD. Head to Sault Saint Marie for the annual Ontario Winter Carnival including this fun fat biking event, starting at Bellevue Park. Dates and routes to be confirmed.

Fatbike Race 1 – Shuniah – TBD. Experience for yourself winter riding in Thunder Bay and some of the best fat biking in the province. Located at Shuniah Mines in Trowbridge Forest, this is the first in a series of events hosted by the Black Sheep Mountain Bike Club.

Fatbike Race 2 – Mount Baldy – TBD. Blacksheep Mountain Bike Club’s second fatbiking event out in Thunder Bay. The event takes place at Mount Baldy.

Wendigo 2021 Covid Challenge – A self-guided ride challenge. Head out on a 50km ride before March 1, 2021, from wherever you are and track your ride to share with the Wendigo community. If lockdown restrictions will be lifted, there will be an unorganized group ride (TBD) out of Cobden, ON. For more information, consult the official events page.

Borca Fat & Frosty – TBD. These fat bike events riding on the BORCA trails, based out of the Whitewater Brewing Co in the Ottawa Valley to maximize rider awareness of the many different locals for enjoying the outdoors on a fatbike. Ironwood Hills Trails, 295 Ferguson Road, 10 minutes NE of Renfrew.

Cannondale Ontario Fatbike Series Final – TBD. Near Barrie, this event is hosted on the world-class trails at Hardwood Ski and Bike. A late winter classic. Rentals are available on-site at Hardwood Ski and Bikes.

Borca Fat & Frosty – TBD. These fat bike events riding on the BORCA trails, based out of the Whitewater Brewing Co in the Ottawa Valley to maximize rider awareness of the many different locals for enjoying the outdoors on a fatbike. Ironwood Hills Trails, 295 Ferguson Road, 10 minutes NE of Renfrew.

Fat Bike Race 3 – Mount Baldy – TBD. Head to Thunder Bay for Blacksheep Mountain Bike Club’s third fatbiking event of the season. The event takes place at Mount Baldy.

Toronto Bicycle Show and E-Bike Show – 2020 – Postponed to 2022. The 35th Annual Toronto Bicycle Show at the International Centre, Mississauga has been postponed to 2022. Exact dates and details will follow. The event organizers look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2020 at the largest bicycle consumer show in the world with dozens of vendors showcasing the latest trends, products and services in the fast-growing field of cycling.

Kin Vineyards Kermesse – TBD. The ride starts in Carp/West Carleton, the western rural area of Ottawa at the Kin Vineyard. This is the kick off event of the 2021 Gravel Cup Canada Series. The series consists of 7 events each featuring a challenge long course and a sport shorter course. The first event features a 25km loop on both maintained gravel and paved roads.

Slush Fest Fat Bike Festival – Postponed to 2022. Head to Sir Sam’s Ski/Ride in Haliburton for the Slush Fest Fat Bike Festival. For one day, Sir Sam’s Ski turns into a fatbike playground. Ride head-to-head down the Cross Track. Challenge a friend to the dual slalom course. Pick a line on one of the technical singletrack descents.

Paris to ancasterParis to Ancaster Bicycle Race – TBD. Canada’s spring cycling classic, features 70, 40 & 20 km course options with different start locations and the same finish line in Ancaster. Each course has a mix of gravel roads, farm lanes and trails. This popular event includes a fundraising option to support research at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.

Great Ride N Stride – TBD. Join this non-competitive, pledge-based fundraising event. There are several locations across Ontario this event takes place, including Blandford Blenheim, Burlington, Norwich, Thamesford, Tillsonburg and Woolwich. Participants can choose to ride their bikes along beautiful trails and quiet roads in these communities.

Bike for Mike – May 2, 2021. Virtual Ride. From Hamilton, join the 11th annual ‘Mike Ride’ in honour of Mike Chamberlain. Ride your own distance or one of the original routes that can be found on the website. To increase awareness of all aspects of cycling visit vendors and displays promoting the Art and Culture of Cycling.

Renfrew Randonneur – TBD. Head to Renfrew for this new Gravel Cup event. Using a spectacular network of gravel roads in the foothills of the Madawaska Highlands the routes take the scenic K&P Trail back to Renfrew finishing on a trail leading to the Ma-te-Way Recreation Complex.

The Weekender – TBD. Start in Barrie for the second edition of this group ride. The looped group ride takes participants from Barrie to Midland and back. Riders can choose from distances between 181km and 349km. Breakfast, dinner and refueling stops are included.

cn cycle for cheoCN Cycle for CHEO – Virtual event until May 2. Held annually in Ottawa, this charity event encourages everyone to cycle, walk, and roll, in support of children with cancer. Events take place at the Canadian War Museum. This non-competitive event offers a range of distances (15 km, 35 km & 70 km bike routes).

Hell of the North – TBD. Ride in the annual ‘Hell of the North’! Starting and ending at the Ballantrae Community Center. The epic spring classic with 90km of the most amazing dirt and off-road sections make this truly one of the hardest events of the year!

Clarence Rockland Classic: Ride with Rendall – TBD. Join the cycling club Ride with Rendall for the 12th annual Clarence-Rockland Classic with its 85km route on a mix of gravel and paved roads. Registration and route info will be available soon.

Ride for the Rouge – TBD. Ride in the 28th annual Ride for the Rouge event. All money raised through your donations and collected pledges will ensure the continued operation of the Rouge Valley Conservation Centre.

spring chicken enduroBORCA Spring Chicken Enduro – TBD. Head to Beachburg in the Ottawa Valley to ride the BORCA Spring Chicken. The Mountain bike event features 28km and 60km races in an emerging mountain bike destination next to the Ottawa River in Renfew County.

The Mother Ride – Cancelled. Join cyclists of all levels in Kingston and experience the rolling terrain and charming towns of Frontenac and Lennox & Addington Counties. Cyclists can choose between 3 routes: 25km, 50km, 100km. Start your riding season early, help raise funds for Interval House, and make your mother proud!

Gravel Road & Beer Sampling Clinic-Turas Mor Pre-Ride. (co-ed) – TBD. Sign up for a clinic that will prepare you for everything gravel riding. From the different types of gravel roads, the proper techniques to ride loose climbs, potholes and bumpy descents, how to effectively hold lines and following wheels on gravel.

Spring on the Trail – SOTT – TBD. Join this free event, raising funds for the Guelph to Goderich Rail Trail. More information on the website.

Ride of Silence – May 19, 2021. Ride virtually with cyclists all around the world in a silent slow-paced ride (max. 12 mph/20 kph) in honour of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. The event takes place every year on the third Wednesday in May starting at 7:00pm.

The Canadian Tandem Rally – Cancelled. Sign up for this amazing multi-day event in Owen Sound and share good times with like-minded tandem enthusiasts while sharing wonderful food together.

7 days in may7 Days in May – Virtual Ride. Due to ongoing uncertainties regarding Covid-19, the 7-Days in May Ride will be held in a different format which is yet still to be determined. Information and details will be published on the official event website as soon as available.

Jack Ride – TBD. Join cyclists in Caledon of all abilities to ride the 9th Annual Ride for Jack event. Whether cyclists decide to ride 25, 50, 100 or 125km, each program raises funds for Youth Mental Health.

Tour Du Canada Century Ride – Cancelled. The Tour du Canada Century Ride will start out of Maple. Participate in this century ride weekend event with day or full-weekend options. Ride either the metric or full century ride, either 100 km or 160km options.

Food Cycle Ride – TBD. Ride because you care at the 11th Food Cycle Ride, an annual family-oriented event with routes on road or trail. Choose to ride 40 or 75km on rolling country roads, or 20 or 40km on the scenic Elora Cataract Trailway. The Ride is not a race, but competitive riders and riders of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Lunch is provided. All proceeds go to the Centre Wellington Food Bank.

Spin the lakesSpin The Lakes – May 3-29, 2021. Participate in this year’s virtual Spin the Lakes Cycling and raise funds in support of Mental Health Week taking place between May 3rd – 9th. Spin the Lakes will provide you with the distance and you decide your route and get a chance to win a prize in multiple challenges such as highest fundraiser, best photo, furthest ride and more.

R3G3 Renfrew Rough Rider Griffith Gravel Grinder – TBD. Head out to Griffith for some proper gravel grinding. Combining a challenging route with some scenic views, this ride will take you out through Renfrew County celebrating the gravel community in the Ottawa Valley.

Tour of Kincardine – May 8-24. Participate in 22km cross classic. The race route trails are part of the Kincardine Trails system – an entirely intra-town system with a variety of challenging terrain for a cyclist. The racecourse is approximately 22km long. The terrain roughly breaks down to 8km of hard surfaces, 10km of single track, and 4km of paved roads.

Villa Charities GIRO – May 30, 2021. Head to Woodbridge for the 15th annual Giro cycling fundraiser. Celebrate the exhilarating finale of the Giro d’Italia, ride the family-friendly 4km and 25km routes or the scenic and challenging 60km and 100km routes, enjoy rest stops with gourmet food and beverage and support a great cause!

Bike Month – June is Bike Month in Ontario. Many communities have day, week long or a month full of events celebrating cycling. Due to the pandemic and to follow important social distancing rules, a number of webinars and virtual events are held this year including safe cycling webinars, the virtual Tour de Guelph from June 4-27, 2021, and more.

Ontario By Bike June Ride – June 19-20, 2021. Join us for our first of four annual Ontario By Bike Rides exploring the Niagara Region. These intimate group rides include accommodation, route guides, lunches, breakfast and ride support.

Epic 8 Hour – June 18, 2021. Ride this spring mountain bike relay at Mansfield Outdoor Centre. Single track and double track 10km course, with overnight camping onsite and lots of fun team activities. Also featuring non-competitive kids event.

Ride for KCC – Niagara Ride – June 14-15, 2021. Tentative ride,with overnight in the Niagara Region. More details coming soon!

Tour de Guelph – June 4 -27, 2021. Virtual ride. Join the 8th Annual Tour de Guelph, a community bicycling event for all ages and abilities this year held in a virtual format. Check the events page for detailed information.

Wheels – June 20. 2021. Register to Keep Wheels Moving for The Darling Home for Kids. Now you can ride – or run, or walk – with Wheels anywhere, at your convenience. You decide when and with whom you want to ride, and how far. Whether solo or a family ride, you can make a difference and support The Darling Home for Kids. Hills or flat. Circular route or point-to-point. Off-road or on-road. There are many ways to explore near and far, it’s your choice!

Ride Don’t Hide – Virtually throughout the month of June. Communities across Canada will cycle together to raise funds for mental health. The Canadian Mental Health Association’s annual Ride Don’t Hide brings Canadians of all ages and from all walks of life together to help break the stigma of mental health issues. Over 12,000 participating in 25 community rides coast to coast (10 communities in Ontario) to help raise money for mental health initiatives.

BREAKAWAY Cycling Adventure – July and August. A solo cycling challenge that raises funds for children with cancer across Canada. Experienced and leisure riders, supporters, and families from coast to coast. Anyone can participate and unite in this fun and worthwhile adventure.

Kingston XCMarathon Weekend – June 6-7, 2021. Head to Kingston for one of Ontario’s most challenging XC Courses. The event takes place on private property including a ride through a barn, pump tracks, a moto-cross track, seemingly endless singletrack, corn “maze” rides, over 15 bridges and some great views. Free camping available.

CAP (Canada Africa Partnership) Ride – June 1-6, 2021. Virtual ride. Join the 17th annual event in 7 Canadian cities, June 5 to 7, for a virtual bikeathon raising funds to support African community-led projects during COVID-19.

Manitoulin Passage Ride – June 5-6, 2021. Head to Manitoulin Island for the 11th annual Manitoulin Passage Ride. Enjoy a free ferry crossing on this 2 day fully supported ride. Saturday night supper and dance, Sunday lunch with music, roadside snacks and insurance all included. Sold out, ask for waitlist.

Diva Day Road Cycling Clinic (Women Only) – TBD. Head to Muskoka or Collingwood for this one day fully supported road cycling clinic that includes guided scenic routes, mini mechanic seminar, gear selection, climbing, descending and group riding drills. Approx mileage 50-60km.

Ride for Health – June 6, 2021. Your own route, your own way is the name of the game, so on event day, participants can choose to ride 25, 60 or 100km anywhere at any time of day!

Manulife Ride for HeartManulife Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart – June 6, 2021. Ride in the Manulife Heart & Stroke Ride for Heart and celebrate over 30 years of this popular event that closes down Toronto highways, attracting thousands of riders. Currently planned as a virtual ride. More information to be announced.

Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour – June to August, 2021. 50 quality rides starting or passing through all the cities, towns and villages that have made the Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour special. More information on the official website Ride on your own schedule when the sun shines with your ‘OBC member-only riding bubble’. .

Tour de Grand 2021Tour de Grand – June 1-30 Virtual Event, 2021. Head to Cambridge to ride this award-winning, cycling event, suitable for all ages. In celebration of its 24th anniversary, 11 routes available. The 50 and 76 km gravel and trail routes will appeal to gravel and cross riders. Snacks and lunch included.

The First Annual Forest City Cycling Challenge – June 5-13, 2021. The First Annual Forest City Cycling Challenge in London, On. The new virtual cycling event aims to raise funds for the Mental Health Incubator for Disruptive Solutions program, funded in part through St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation. Cyclists will follow their own routes between designated checkpoints with a passport that will be used to record arrivals at each checkpoint. Suggested routes will be provided for all ages and abilities of cyclists.

Tour de Mississippi Mills – TBD. Sign up for the Tour de Mississippi Mills, a signature event of Mississippi Mills Bicycle Month. It’s all about fun and participation for all ages and riding abilities — with routes ranging from 30, 60, 80 or 100 kilometres.

Mental Health in Motion – June 13, 2021. Register today to RIDE, RUN, WALK FOR MENTAL HEALTH in York Region and South Simcoe. This virtual fundraising event can be completed Any Time. Any Place, alone or with those in your bubble. Complete one of our signature routes of 5, 20, 60 or 100 kms, or choose your own adventure, with the opportunity to upload a route in your community to share with others. This is an all-inclusive family, friendly event.

Cycle for Sight – June 19, 2021. Participate in the 2nd annual national virtual Cycle for Sight. Ride together safely to fight blindness united with riders from coast-to-coast. Cycle for Sight virtual in 2021.

Velocity 2.0 – June 19, Virtual Event. Sign up for a great day out in Caledon riding a 10k family route, or 25km, 60km, or 100km route for more experienced cyclists. Each ride will wind you through roadways and trails on a Caledon bike route, offering stunning views of rolling countryside and beautiful forests.

Alvar Cycle Adventure Tours – June 14-18 or June 21-25 or June 28-July 2, 2021. Enjoy an all-inclusive cycling vacation on beautiful Manitoulin the largest fresh water Island in the world. 5 days riding, 4 nights stay.

Bike The Creek – June 12, 2021. Bike the Creek is an annual cycling event in Brampton. Choose from 4 routes ranging from 11 to 40 km. Enjoy pavilions enroute where participants can learn about the natural and cultural heritage of the area. Participants have an opportunity to win prizes and will enjoy a complimentary lunch courtesy of the Peel Region.

Medics for Mental Health Ride – TBD. Head to Woodstock, Ontario for a ride through picturesque Oxford County to raise awareness and funds to support mental health wellness among First Responders. All riders welcome. 14km Family Fun Ride, or a 50km or 100km route available.

Reggie Ramble – June 26, 2021. Head to Warkworth in the Trent Hills for some serious gravel grinding. The new event held for the second time features 3 different courses of 65km, 130km and 200km of fantastic off-road gravel roads on challenging and fun terrain.

The Ice Cream Ride – TBD. Join this family-friendly, ice cream fueled cycling event in Hamilton with 6km (car-free) and 29km routes.

2021 Carbon Cycle – TBD. Head to Hamilton for the 2021 Carbon Cycle Fundraiser Ride! The new route is 95% along rail-trails from Hamilton to Waterford. The ride is approximately 70km each way. Environment Hamilton will provide guides, luggage transfer, support, and camping.

24 hours summer solstice24 Hours of Summer Solstice – June 19-20, 2021. Head to Albion Hills Conservation Area to experience the summer solstice on two wheels at this mountain bike festival and relay race. North America’s biggest 24-hour mountain bike event. Ride solo, tag team or with 4-10 people. Day passes available.

Butter Tart 700 – June 20, 2021. Set off on a 700-ish kilometre bikepacking route traversing some of the most interesting and off the beaten track terrain in southwestern Ontario. Primarily unpaved surfaces, backcountry roads and trails, sign up for the Grand Depart in St. Jacobs, or ride the BT700 any time.

Rael’s Ride – June 27, 2021. Head to the North Thornhill Community Centre for Rael’s Ride, a 10km/25km/60km charity ride in support of Brain Cancer Research at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Tickets include fully supported and insured ride, hot lunch entertainment and silent auction. New this year: a chaperoned 10km ride for novice cyclists.

Hairshirt Classic Double Century – June 27, 2021. Punish yourself on this free ride hosted by the Toronto Bicycling Network. Ride 322km from Mississauga to Niagara and back for a little self-inflicted fun.

Stittsville Staycation Rotary Ridey – June 26 – July 4, 2021, Virtual Ride. Cycle around Stittsville and discover unique restaurants, craft breweries, coffee & ice cream shops on this family-oriented, Covid-friendly, self-guided tour. Pick a day between June 26 and July 4 and bicycle a 14 km route around Stittsville and get the chance to win a $100 gift certificate to the checkpoint location of their choice.Click event link for more information.

Ontario By Bike July Ride– July 3-4, 2021. Join us on our second Ontario By Bike Ride, looping through Sarnia Lambton. These intimate group rides include accommodation, route guides, lunches, breakfast and ride support.

Jim Walsh Bike Ride for Kids with Cancer – July 5-17. Virtual event. Visit the Facebook page for more info. Ride the Jim Walsh Bike Ride for Kids, which starts & ends at Knights of Columbus Hall, 12 Catharine Avenue in Brantford. A 9am start kicks off riding on 80km on Brantford’s gorgeous rail trail. $25 per rider (under 13 years ride free) $75 per family (up to 4).

Terry Fox Ride of Hope – July 3, 2021. Virtual Ride (any Location). Join Terry Foxers far and wide as people ride around the world in one day raising funds for cancer research! No minimum age requirement, no minimum donation, and no registration fee. Ride where you want and as far as you want. All you need is a bike, helmet and the perseverance to go the extra mile to save lives.

The Durham Destroyer – July 10-11, 2021. A self-guided gravel event. Head out on one of the three gravel routes and log your ride on Strava to participate in the event raffle to win cool prizes.

24h Mosport Velo – TBD. Enjoy an extraordinary cycling experience. This 24-hour cycling relay experience is a team fundraising event in support of Special Olympics Ontario. It takes place on an exceptional 4km professional Grand Prix circuit, north of Bowmanville.

Tour de Whitewater – TBD. Visit the beautiful Whitewater Region for this tour, where there is a ride for everyone 150km, 100km , 60km gravel, 50km, 30km plus a 10k Family Ride. Community breakfast, community BBQ lunch and door prizes!

Pedaling for Parkinson’s – PEC – TBD. Head to Prince Edward County for Pedaling for Parkinson’s fundraising ride with the emphasis on fun. This all abilities ride offers the opportunity to ride one, two or three days with routes ranging from 40-120km.

Fretori Gravel Ride – TBD. Participate in the Fretori Gravel Ride in Warsaw, Ontario. Riders will be able to choose from three courses: 170km, 125km & 100km. The 170km is the the most challenging of the three with 1500m of elevation and two rest stops.

Canadian Mountain Bike Championships/Ontario Cup XC – July 9-11, 2021. Be part of Canada’s pinnacle mountain bike event of the year. For the 25th time at Hardwood Ski and Bike in Simcoe County, this event will be all ages and abilities. Get the chance to watch Canada’s best riders in action as they vie for the Canadian Champion titles.

El Bandito – July 17, 2021. Brimacombe El Bandito is back for 2021! The ultimate bike race with lots of different and challenging sections. Race or just ride, but make sure you have fun! There are 3 different distances to test yourself.

GranFondo Ottawa – Reggio Capitale – TBD. Get the European-inspired “Big Ride” experience in the Ottawa Valley. Relaxed non-competitive options include 65 and 100 km or opt for the 180 or 235 km Gran and Supr Fondos with timed sections. All rides are fully supported.

Le Tour de Norfolk – July 18, 2021. Head to Delhi, Ontario, to explore picturesque back roads and quaint villages as you cycle the quiet, paved roads of Norfolk County, located on the north shore of Lake Erie. Choose from 40, 75, 100 and 160 km routes with rest stops every 20-25 km, complete with snacks and refreshments. Road support is provided and routes are clearly marked.

XTERRA – Conquer the Crater – July 24-25, 2021. Starting in Sudbury and ride the Canadian Shield. This off-road triathlon in Sudbury is a qualifier for the legendary XTERRA-Maui in Hawai.

Kitchener Twilight Grand Prix Criterium – TBD. Kitchener hosts the annual Twilight Grand Prix.  Race categories from beginner level to elite pro men’s and female races.

Summer Epic 8 Hour MTB Relay – July 24, 2021. Head to Hardwood Ski and Bike in Oro Medonte to enjoy the Epic 8 Hour Mountain Bike Relay. The event is all about the camaraderie, sportsmanship and the gritty, hard-core enjoyment of riding with friends. The Epic 8 Hour relay is a personal and team challenge to complete as many laps as possible.

Andy’s Ride – TBD. In the heart of Muskoka and join Andy’s Ride, an OPP escorted cycling event featuring 3 routes: 35km, 90km and 135km. Enjoy post-ride entertainment, lunch and swag. Tax receipt from Hospice Muskoka for $250. This event start and ends at the Port Carling Community Center.

Ontario By Bike August Ride – August 14-16, 2021. Join us on this popular 3-day ride through the 1000 Islands region along the St Lawrence River. Ontario By Bikes intimate group rides include accommodation, route guides, lunches, breakfast and ride support.

Tour de Bonnechere – Virtual Event Aug 1-29. Head to Eganville, Ontario for this timed self-supported road ride that celebrates cycling in the beautiful Ottawa Valley. Challenge yourself to ride one of the official 20k, 50k, 65k or 100k routes or choose your own route!

Ride to Conquer Cancer – August Virtual Event TBD. This popular annual fundraising ride brings cyclists through Toronto, Hamilton and Niagara Falls on a 200+ km route over 2 days and draws over 4,000 cyclists from across Ontario & North America. 2021 event will be held virtually. Ride for a good cause no matter where you ride.

Ontario By Bike August Ride – August 28-29, 2021. Additional date added for Niagara Circle Route South, 2 day, 1 overnight small group ride.

BREAKAWAY Cycling Adventure – TBD. Join this ride that raises funds for children with cancer across Canada. Choose your challenges from three different categories and earn badges for completed ones. Anyone can participate and unite in this fun and worthwhile adventure.

Bluewater International Granfondo – August 1, 2021. Ride in this exciting Granfondo welcoming cyclists to Lambton County’s Bluewaterland. The 5th annual event starts and finishes along the shores of Lake Huron in Sarnia’s beautiful Mike Weir Park. Route options include 50, 100, and 150 km. Take in the scenery of thriving fruit orchards and the rolling hills of Arkona.

Great Waterfront Trail Adventure – Cycle the North – August 6-11, 2021. Sign up for the Great Waterfront Trail Adventure cycle tour and awareness ride from the Blue Mountains to the Bruce Peninsula and Tobermory to the Point Clark National Historic Site. It’s a celebration of the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail’s 25th +1 anniversary and contribution to regenerating and protecting our Great Lakes. 64-100km of riding per day, for a total of 318-517km.

Northern Pass – August 7, 2021. Head to Muskoka or join for a virtual ride and support Prince Margaret Cancer Foundation.

Gran Fondo Lake Huron – TBD. The Gran Fondo Lake Huron is a fundraising bike ride, out of Southampton, Ontario, supporting the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation. The event will offer four distances; 30km, 70km, 110km, and 160km. This ride welcomes cyclists of all levels, offering a fantastic and scenic tour of Bruce County.

Mountainview 9 Lives Enduro – TBD. Head to Midland, Ontario for this unquie Enduro style event. The newest craze in MTB racing, an enduro is a same day stage race, where riders will compete on a series of timed stages, before proceeding to next stage.

Crank the Shield – TBD. Back for another edition, head to Sault Ste. Marie/Algoma Country to board a heritage train trip to the start, riding back through Ontario’s backcountry! This 3-day staged ride is the ultimate backcountry cycling adventure.

Tour for Kids (Ontario) – TBD. 2021 marks the 18th year of Tour for Kids. Ride 100km, 160km or 200km daily, pace groups for all, overnight accommodations included in reg fee. Ride a different route each day in the Kawartha Lakes region, including Pigeon Lake, Rice Lake and Stoney Lake. Additionally, MTB option at Tecasy Ranch.

Moveathon Overnight Experience – TBD. Enjoy a beautiful scenic ride, Sunday (65km), Monday (135km) in Muskoka on the Moveathon Ride’s new two-day overnight charity ride.

Friends for Life Bike Rally – August 8-13, 2021. Join over 400 cyclists ride the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail from Toronto to Montreal – 600 km over 6 days. This annual event which raises funds for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Cycle Camelot – TBD. Cycle Camelot has united cycling enthusiasts and supporters of the Georgian Bay Cancer Support Centre for the past 9 years, raising over $250,000 to help support local people living with cancer, their families and caregivers.

Kawartha Lakes Classic – TBD. The Kawartha Classic cycling tour has something for everyone, including routes of 13, 25, 50, 100 and 160 km to suit all levels of riders.

The Sudbury Camino – TBD. This route offers an authentic and unique Camino-like experience while enabling the discovery of Greater Sudbury’s portion of the Great Trail (Trans Canada Trail). The Camino covers only a 28km section of the 93 km Sudbury segment of the Trans Canada Trail.

Gravel Road Clinic & Wine Tasting (co-ed) – TBD. Sign up for a clinic that will prepare you for everything gravel riding. From the different types of gravel roads, the proper techniques to ride loose climbs, potholes and bumpy descents, how to effectively hold lines and following wheels on gravel.

Ride For Karen – TBD. Join cyclists from across Ontario at Ride for Karen, an annual fundraising ride to send children with cancer to camp. Featuring a 160km and 100km cycling course, the ride starts at Markham and rolls through the countryside north of Toronto. The ride started in 2002 as a tribute to Karen Tobias who passed away from breast cancer. To date, more than $2.64 million has been raised.

Tour di Via Italia – TBD. Head to Windsor for the Tour di Via Italia. Now in its 63rd year, the Tour di Via Italia is the oldest historical, international street race in Ontario. Held on Labour Day weekend, the racing kicks off on Sunday on the other side of the border in Detroit with the Detroit Cycling Championship.

FAB Trails Festival – TBA. The Frontenac Arch Biosphere Network (FABN) is organizing a Trails Festival to encourage and inspire community residents and visitors to appreciate the wealth of biodiversity as experienced through the trails of Charleston Lake Provincial Park.

Bikes4Bibles (Fergus Ride) – TBD. Enjoy a 32km ride (approx. 2-3 hours) around the Elora Cataract Trail, starting from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Fergus to the town of Bellwood and back to Fergus.

Dunnville Grand Tour – August 21 – December 1, 2021. The Dunnville Grand Tour Virtual challenge is a series of events to motivate riders to be in top shape for those summer group rides. Registrants will receive a FREE personalized (with your name on it), cycling jersey. Take part in one of the four challenges, 500, 1000, 2500 or 5000km distance. The full Dunnville Grand Tour Group event will be held on August 6, 2022.

Ride for KCC – August 29, 2021. Join the scenic ride of the popular 26 km, 50 km & 100 km rides on a one-day charity ride. The ride starts in Thornhill, York Region at the Kayla’s Children Centre. All rides are fully supported and include rest stops along the way.

Journey for Janice – August 29, 2021. The annual Journey for Janice in support of Muscular Dystrophy will ride out through York Region beginning from Bruce’s Mill Conservation Area and featuring a 50km course and a 100km course. Registration numbers capped and so sign up early.

Shuniah Forty Miner – September 10 – 11, 2021. This two day race event celebrating MTB trails in Thunder Bay’s Kinsman Park and Trowbridge forest is hosted by the Blacksheep Mountain Bike Club.

Prince Edward County Gran Fondo – September 11, 2021. Event registrations from 2020 will remain valid and are automatically transferred to 2021. Choose from 3 ride distances – 50km, 100km and 150km. Travel & Leisure recently described Prince Edward County as one of the top places to travel to in the world. Now ride there!

Ontario By Bike September Ride – Sold Out. September 11-12, 2021. Our last ride for 2021. Join us on the Cataraqui Kingston Cruiser to explore Southeastern Ontario By Bike. Ontario By Bikes intimate group rides include accommodation, route guides, lunches, breakfast and ride support.

Thousand Island Gran Fondo  September 12, 2021. Choose from 3 ride distances, 160, 120 and 90km. The ride takes you all the way through the Thousand Islands Parkway where it finishes on the outskirts of Brockville. Riders will cross over a bridge at the 401 onto beautiful secondary country roads all the way back into Gananoque.

Perth County Cycling Tour – September 12, 2021. Cycle Stratford welcomes you to their non-competitive, all ages, semi-supported 3rd annual cycling tour that begins and ends in Stratford. Offering 3 routes through Perth County on safe quiet rural roads, distances are approximately 25, 60 and 110km. Due to COVID pre-registration is mandatory, no walk-ups on event day.

Port Perry Pedals – September 12, 2021. Date confirmed for the first Port Perry Pedals fundraising event that will showcase the town on the shores of Lake Scugog and the Greenbelt, with routes of varied distances to pick from.

Greg’s Cycle For Kids – September 19, 2021. Starting from Country Heritage Park in Milton there are a number of route distances through Halton Hills with all proceeds going to support youth cycling initiatives.

Ride for Safe Streets – September 18-19, 2021. Toronto’s annual fundraiser for safe streets presented by Bike Law is held for its 8th time. Date and event information will be announced in 2021.

Barrie 2 Baycrest September 12, 2021. Ride the 25th annual Barrie 2 Baycrest ride. Travel through the scenic countryside north of the city, and experience a convivial atmosphere and post-ride festivities. Routes and distances yet to be announced. Costs include limited edition jersey, breakfast, lunch and two tickets to post-ride dinner.

Limestone Century Bicycle Tour – September 12, 2021. Celebrating its 15th anniversary in 2021, head to Kingston for this classic tour. Start and end in Historic Portsmouth Village, Kingston. Three great routes to enjoy: 100 miles, 100km & 50km – each includes scenic villages, countryside, and shoreline of Lake Ontario. Proceeds from the event support Cycle Kingston, a registered charity that promotes cycling.

Alvar Cycle Adventure Tours – September 6-10 or September 13-17 or September 20-24, 2021. Enjoy an all-inclusive cycling vacation on beautiful Manitoulin the largest fresh water Island in the world. 5 days riding, 4 nights stay.

8 Hours of Hurtin’ in Haliburton – September 18, 2021. Challenge yourself to 8 hours of epic private backcountry gravel roads in Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve for a racing experience like none other in Ontario. The 27km loop features zero pavement, fully stocked aid stations, beautiful lake vistas, 330m of climbing/lap, and the flowiest gravel roads that will leave a grin on your face.

Tour de Poutine – September 18, 2021. Discover the Township of McNab/Braeside in Ottawa Valley/Renfrew County while on two wheels! Join in for a popular annual 24km cycling tour finishing off at Betty’s Chips for a snack of poutine and a drink. $5 to register.

NewRoads LakeRide – September 19, 2021. Ride the 6th annual NewRoads LakeRide in support of The Mental Health Program at Southlake Regional Health Centre. The event is held closely with local stakeholders and the community to provide an in-person event with a limited number of riders, departing from the NewRoads Performing Arts Centre in Newmarket. Additionally, Zwift and Facebook Live events, for virtual participation are held – more infos soon!

Tour de Headwaters – September 18, 2021. Join the annual Tour de Headwaters in support of Headwaters Health Care Foundation in Orangeville. More event details to come.

Tour The Hills – September 25, 2021. Head to the the picturesque countryside of Halton Hills and ride to support a local organization known as Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills. There are 4 routes available to choose from. A 25km, 40km, 75km and 100km route. Each route starts and ends at Trafalgar Sports Park in Georgetown, Ontario.

Reggie Ramble – September 25, 2021. This new ‘gravel grinder’ takes riders with mixed surfaces and terrain around Warkworth and Trent Hills. With a variety of looped distances (65, 130, 200km) participate in the event as race or a recreational ride. Enjoy post-ride BBQ and beer served by GoodLot Farmstead Brewing Co after at Warkworth Fairgrounds.

Discover L&A Ride – September 25, 2021. Hop on your bike for a 58km journey that takes you along paved roads overlooking the water’s edge and authentic rural eastern Ontario landscapes. Start and finish in Bath, at the local brewing company, stop at heritage sites and enjoy local music and refreshments along the way.

Fall Epic 8 Hour – September 25-26, 2021. Head to Hardwood Ski and Bike and ride as many laps as possible in a dedicated 8-hour window.

Great Lakes & Greenbelt Farm Fresh Tours – September 25 & 26, 2021. Cycle and sample the farm goods and treats in Durham Region and Northumberland County on the Highland Hustle routes, either 114km or 78km.

Cycle St. Joe’s – September 26, 2021. 9th annual charity event supporting St. Joe’s hospital’s 100th year of care. Two start options, Milton Velodrome and Lakeshore West in Toronto. Various distances and lunch provided. Also a virtual Zwift option on September 25.

Tour de T1D – September 26, 2021. Head to Barrie to join the 4th edition of the T1D ride and cycle to raise funds and awareness for Type 1 diabetes.

Als Canada Revoliution RideRevolution Ride – Sepember 26, 2021. The ALS Society of Canada will be hosting a fundraising cycling event in Dundas, ON to support families affected by ALS. There will be three awesome routes to choose from including 40km, 60km and 90km options. Each route will begin and end at Shawn and Ed’s Brewery with pre and post ride festivities planned.

County Millennium Trail Trek – September 26, 2021. Starting from and ending with lunch at the Waring House, explore the Millennium Trail across the County. Hosted by the Kiwanis.

Ride4 United Way of Durham – September 26, 2021. Head to the Durham region to cycle for mental health. Multiple routes out of Whitby will be available and social distancing safety measures will be in place.

Tour de Mississauga – September 26, 2021. A family-friendly, non-competitive cycling event encouraging all cyclists to hop on their bike and experience Mississauga’s cycling network. There are four start/finish locations and a range from 5km to 70 km self-guided routes.

The Healing Cycle Ride – Virtual. Join the 17th annual Healing Cycle Bike Ride in support of hospice care in Ontario. Rides feature distances of 10, 25, 50 and 100km for this family oriented event. If you don’t wish to raise funds, you can sign up just to do the ride.

Ride for Wishes – Virtual. log your own or team’s kilometres between September 11 and 18 to help raise funds for children with critical illnesses.

The Beau’s Oktoberfest Bike Ride – Virtual. Participate in Beau’s Oktoberfest Ride in Vankleek Hill to raise money for the United Way Ottawa and United Way SD&G’s “All That Kids Can Be” programs. The United Way’s “All That Kids Can Be” program ensures that kids in at-risk neighbourhoods have access to critical programmings such as homework clubs and summer camps.

The Growling Beaver Brevet – TBD. Growling Beaver Brevet is a social (non-race) ride with 200 cyclists riding 40, 100 or 200km routes through the scenic Grey County. The event features Beaver Valley and Georgian Bay communities and merchants that have supported cyclists through the summer season.

Sea Otter Canada – Postponed to 2022. Head to Horseshoe Resort for the Sea Otter Canada, featuring leading cycling brands, the latest products, demo bikes and a complete program of races, rides and family activities. The Expo is free for everyone to attend and indulge in cycling culture, enter contests, enjoy great food and beer, all in a safe and scenic outdoor setting. Visit the website for program details.

Essex Region Conservation Bike Tour – Postponed. In Essex County, tour through picturesque country roads or meandering the off-road nature ride on the Chrysler Canada and Cypher Systems Group Greenway to raise funds for the local trail system. Routes will begin and end at Mettawas Park in Kingsville, and will feature a lakefront festival with local food and entertainment!

Caribou Charity Ride – TBD. The Caribou Charity Ride will start in Thunder Bay and travel through picturesque Oliver Paipoonge Township and is for everyone from the recreational rider to accomplished cyclists. Cyclists can choose to ride 50, 75, a new 75km gravel or 100km routes, each handpicked to showcase the best of cycling in northern Ontario.

Tour Paramedic Ride – TBD. Join this four day, 550km ride and fundraiser from Toronto to Ottawa. This fully supported event is open to all cyclists, not just paramedics. Support and learn more about the monument to be built memorializing paramedics who have died in the line of duty, and the, all too often, mental health challenges paramedics are faced with.

Peloton Ride – TBD. The annual Peloton Ride, supporting men’s mental health & suicide awareness. Starting at the Velodrome in Milton, Halton Region, the event offers three different rides of 50, 80 or 120km followed by a festival at the Velodrome.

epictourEpictour – The GTA GrandFondo – Cancelled. Ride the 9th annual multi-distance mass participation GranFondo-style cycling event.

Toronto International Bicycle Show – Fall Blowout – Back in 2022. Don’t miss the Bicycle Fall Blowout Sale, a one-day only, Year-End Clearout, from 10am to 5pm. Get there early as this once-a-year, seven-hour sales blitz that always draws a crowd. The event takes place at the Exhibition Centre in Toronto.

Bruce Peninsula Gravel Gran Fondo – October 3, 2021. Take a run up back gravel roads in Bruce Peninsula from Lion’s Head Lighthouse to the Cabot Head lighthouse and back. Shorter routes available. Event is in support of the Bruce Peninsula ECO Adventures and Biosphere Association.

Dam Cross – TBD. Two event days of cyclocross racing and fun at Pittock Conservation Area, Woodstock, Oxford County, October dates TBD.

Everesting 2021 – October 16, 2021. New Hope Community Bikes to host cycling fundraiser in Hamilton, ON with goal of the event for riders to climb up and down the Niagara Escarpment until they have reached the summit of Mount Everest (8,800m). Event to raise money for New Hope Communitiy Bikes programming, including teaching children to ride, mentoring youth through skill development and making cycling accessible to vulnerable populations.

Weekender – October 23-24, 2021. A two day ride in Simcoe County, starting and ending in Barrie with total distances ranging from 181km to 349km.
