Below you'll find a list of 2018 cycling events that feature South Eastern Ontario's destinations. You'll also find a link to the cycling resources found throughout the region.


July

PwC MS Bike Tour - Prince Edward County - July 8 - Join cyclists in 'The County' for 40km, 75km routes, in one of the more popular cycling destinations in Ontario. Ride through vineyards and experience the culinary creativity that is putting this destination on the foodie map.

Friends For Life Bike Rally – July 29 / July 29 to August 3 - Join a one-day ride from Toronto to Port Hope (108km) on July 29th or join over 400 cyclists ride the Waterfront Trail from Toronto to Montreal – 600 km over 6 days. This 20th annual event which raises funds for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Great Waterfront Trail Adventure 2018 - July 29 to August 3 - Join the 11th annual GWTA for 40 -110km (25 - 68 miles) of riding per day as we travel along the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail from Ajax with it's beautiful off road trail to the Quebec border and a finish line celebration with more than a slight nod to the Celtic traditions of South Glengarry.

PwC MS Bike Tour - Ottawa to Cornwall - August 18-19 - PwC MS Bike is the largest cycling series in North America. Since 1989, cyclists of all ages and fitness levels fundraise and cycle together to end Canada’s disease. This unique event series provides Canadians with the opportunity to ride through scenic and often spectacular parts of the country along either 80-215km route on a 2-day fully supported tour from Ottawa to Cornwall.

lifeCYCLE - August 18 - Head out to scenic Wolfe Island for lifeCYCLE 2018! This ride raises funds for the University Hospital Kingston Foundation. There are 3 route options; 52km, 102km and a 24km route for families. All routes are suitable for road bikes, and a BBQ lunch will be provided.

Highway of Heroes Bike Ride - August 25-26 - Wounded Warriors Highway of Heroes Bike Ride will take a group of Canadians along this sacred stretch (CFB Trenton to Queen's Park) to raise funds and awareness for those living with occupational stress injuries like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Honour the Fallen, Help the Living. Minimum fund raising required with 160 and 220kms route options available.

September

Prince Edward County Gran Fondo - September 8 - Choose from 3 ride distances, 160KM, 120KM and 50Km. Travel & Leisure recently described Prince Edward County as one of the top places to travel to in the world. Now ride there!

Thousand Island Gran Fondo - September 16 - Cycling in the stunning 1000 Islands on this Gran Fondo ride. Ride distances include 160KM, 120KM and 90Km options. The ride takes you all the way through the Thousand Islands Parkway where it finishes at the outskirts of Brockville. Riders will cross over a bridge at the 401 onto beautiful secondary country roads all the way back into Gananoque. Cyclists will continue along Hwy 2 back into Kingston and the Woolen Mill finish area.

Discover L&A Ride - September 22 - Hope on your bike for a 58km journey that takes you along paved roads overlooking the water's edge and authentic rural Eastern Ontario landscapes. Start and finish in Bath, at local brewing company, stop at heritage sites and enjoy local music and refreshments along the way. 

Fall Colour Ride - September 23 - The 2018 Picton Kiwanis Fall Colour Fondo (formerly Colour Cribbage Ride) is extremely popular with cyclists. Take your choice of a 100, 50 or 25 km ride through beautiful Prince Edward County. Registration Includes: Refreshment stops along the route, lunch, a local produce sample and a chance to win a draw prize.
