Hello Ontario By Bike Certified Bicycle Friendly Businesses,

Thank you all for your ongoing support in our program and your efforts to ensure Ontario remains a top cycling destination with many great places to eat, visit and sleep.

We are pleased to announce our Bicycle Friendly Business Awards 2023. Now going into its fifth year, we are excited to let you know that submissions are now open for the upcoming year’s contest. As part of our growing network with over 1,600 certified bicycle friendly businesses across Ontario, we want to award, celebrate and promote those of you who go the extra mile to welcome and accommodate cyclists to your location.

Does your business excel in catering to and welcoming cyclists?

Do you go above and beyond offering specific services and amenities for cyclists?

Are you the most bicycle friendly business in your region?

We want to showcase and celebrate what you do!

If selected your business will:

  • Receive an award, free registration, and an opportunity to feature your business at the Cycle Tourism Conference Canada 2023 – March 2, 2023 in Toronto
  • Be featured and promoted via our digital channels including our monthly e-newsletters, avidly read by more than 16,000 subscribers
  • Be able to use the award to garner additional media attention

If you are part of the Ontario By Bike bicycle friendly business network, we invite you to submit an application to be considered the best bicycle friendly business in your geographic region.

  • Award Category for: Accommodations, food service providers, attractions – 1 per region
  • Recognition for: Bike store, rentals or bike tour operator – 1 per region

There will be one selected per region, with regions as defined by the Government of Ontario RTO/Regional Tourism Organization boundaries.

If you have previously been nominated to participate in the Bicycle Friendly Business Awards and not been selected a winner, let us know if you would like to resubmit that entry and we can send you the submission from past years. 

The promotional value is enormous as we will be announcing the winners at our Cycle Tourism Conference, announcing two winners monthly in our consumer/cyclists e-newsletter, and including them on this webpage.
