When expanding the Ontario By Bike Network into new areas in Ontario, we aim to work within regional/municipal boundaries as closely as possible and Ontario’s Regional Tourism Organization boundaries where possible. In some cases of Network expansion, geographical boundaries are established to reflect various considerations. For example, these can be determined by host partnerships, as well as current and future cycling product offering and development. Consumer recognition of the proposed geographic area is also a determinate in establishing ‘Great Place to Cycle’ area name that is featured on the Ontario By Bike website.
If the Network currently is not administered in your area, local businesses cannot be certified and added to our network of over 1,600 bicycle friendly locations. To discuss program expansion and the administration of the Ontario By Bike Network’s certification program in your area, please send an email to info(at)ontariobybike.ca or call toll-free to 1-866-701-2774.
