Best Bike shop in Durham Region - hands down
By far the best bike shop in all of Durham Region. I've known the owners for well over 20 years. They built up and ran another shop in Whitby for years and then changed Pedal Performance to Cycle Life. Elie and Janie are great people who have created a friendly atmosphere - they and their team listen and get you the gear you need, not the gear they want to sell you. Their mechanic Vic is one of best mechanics around - he knows your bike and how to get it working optimally. You will get exactly what you need without being overbilled or oversold. I'm glad to have them keeping my bikes on the road and trails and even happier to have them as friends. In an industry where corporations are taking over bike shops (like the one down the street), this family run business delivers the goods.

The shop can be hard to find - it's the second plaza on the right after you cross the 401. If you've gone to the first traffic light, turn right and then right again. Stay to the right and go to the end of the parking lot. First unit on the end.
