The Almaguin Highlands Information Centre (AHIC) has been serving the travelling public since 1990. AHIC provides 24/7 washroom facilities, tourist information, a shaded pavilion as a rest stop, carpool parking lot, and water bottle refill station. The Information Centre is also the site of the Perry Township Municipal Office. AHIC now boasts healthy snack and drink options, as well as an internet cafe, run by Northern Nerds.

Bear Lake Resort is situated on the south end of beautiful Bear Lake. We are open from May to November. All cottages have views of beautiful Bear Lake. Each cottage has a deck with chairs and a BBQ and nearby a fire pit for those campfire story nights.

The Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts is located in Parry Sound, Ontario, Canada. It houses a 480-seat Festival Performance Hall and the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame. The Stockey Centre sits on a 3.5-acre waterfront site overlooking beautiful Georgian Bay. The building opened in July 2003 and runs year-round, presenting artists of excellence and celebrating athletes of excellence. The Bobby Orr Hall of Fame is an interactive hockey museum with a wide variety of photos, memorabilia and artifacts about Bobby Orr, who was born in Parry Sound. Exhibits include Orr’s NHL rings, a number of his trophies and awards, some of the jerseys he played in, a pictorial history of his career and a number of interactive games and activities related to hockey. The Bobby Orr Hall of Fame also hosts exhibits about other exceptional athletes with ties to Parry Sound. The Festival Performance Hall is constructed out of the area’s natural stone and indigenous trees. It has stunning acoustics as it was designed as a home for the Festival of the Sound, a world renowned festival of chamber and classical music which runs from mid-July to mid-August each year. Performances of all genres are presented in the Performance Hall during the rest of the year including music of all types (pop, rock, folk, blues, jazz, country, chamber, classical and world music), theatre, contemporary dance, comedy, literary readings, performances for children and community events. The Gift Shop is located in the Lobby and features a unique line of souvenirs from both the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame and the Festival Performance Hall.

Operating Monday to Friday 8am-4pm (Victoria Day through August) and 8:30am-4:30pm (September to Victoria Day), cyclists can stop in at Canadore College for a rest. Water refill station, rest areas, and bathrooms are available. Staff can also help with routes, directions, and any other questions about the Parry Sound Area.

The Rosseau Waterfront Park is home to the popular Farmers’ Market every Friday throughout the summer. Among Ontario’s finest Pet Friendly Housekeeping resorts is Sunny Point Resort 20km South of Parry Sound. We have 10 pet friendly 3 and 4 bedroom cottages and a 7 suite inn that is not pet friendly. Inn suites all have kitchens and a view of Otter Lake. We have Junior, 1 and 2 bedroom suites. Amenities include beach, boats, canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, paddle boards, row boats, swimming areas, hiking trails, recreation centre, volleyball, basketball, tennis, mini putt, badminton, horseshoes.

For bicyclists, Sunny Point is on a gravel road at the end of Loucks Road which is also gravel. Paved roads begin about 3 km from the resort. Paved roads are lightly traveled.

Visit the Watt Century Farmhouse that was originally built in 1902, and take a step back in time. Filled with local stories and artifacts this site is rich with history.

Today, the Watt Century Farmhouse sits adjacent to a Solar Farm, and is the second Heritage Centre for the Burk’s Falls and Disctrict Historical Society.
